Founded in 2007 by Christina Campbell, the genesis of ABAlink came from Christina’s personal experience. With her son, Logan, diagnosed with autism at age two and a half years, she navigated the labyrinth of autism services, for her autistic son. Early intervention is key:
Early in the journey, Christina formed the firm belief that ABA therapy offers the greatest opportunities for life-changing impact. She also came to understand how early diagnosis and intervention really matters creating a strong foundations for future learning. Personal experience:
Realising that parents could benefit from her experience, she set up ABAlink to offer parents an early intervention service and ready access to ABA therapists and later ABA therapy for their children. Services for youngsters and older children:
Now, in its 15th year, ABAlink is still independently owned and operated, and helping more families than ever. All while offering a truly personal touch. We offer distinct services for children aged 2-6 years, and older children aged 7-17 years. Highly trained therapists:

Struggling with transitions at home? Whether it's packing up toys, or getting ready to leave the house, many children find it really hard to switch from one activity to another. 😣😨

If this sounds familiar, you’re not alone! Transitions are one of the most common challenges we see, especially for children with autism, ADHD, or developmental delays.

What Doesn't Work:
🚫 Sudden Changes \With No Warning: Can feel overwhelming
🚫 Rushing Through Transitions: Rushing from one activity to the next doesn’t give your child time to catch up.
🚫 Using Lots Of Verbal Instructions Without Visuals: Without a visual to support what’s being said, it’s harder for them to understand what’s expected.

Here are 3 strategies that can help make daily routines much smoother:
🌱 Visual Schedules: Show your child what’s happening now and next. This reduces anxiety and builds predictability.
🌱 Timers & Countdowns: Give a gentle warning. “5 more minutes, then clean-up.” Use a visual or auditory timer to help them prepare.
🌱 Practising Transitions: In low-pressure moments helps your child understand what to expect and what’s expected of them.

These tools work because they:
💜 Prepare your child ahead of time
💜 Reduce the fear of the unknown
💜 Build trust and cooperation through positive reinforcement

If you want more support building these routines in the home, give us a call or enquire on our website for how we can help! Links to Life has supported families through similar challenges for years, with practical programs designed to help children build skills and make progress.
