Launching the Square State of Small Business Perspectives Report at Parliament House on Tuesday for Council of Small Business Organisations Australia . Was surprised to see that 85% of small businesses use one digital tool and that 39% were already using AI. It's the difference between being based in a big city where we have access to so many options, whether its Xero, Canva, CRM's like Cliniko and platforms like Simplero. So many of the business owners I know are clearly quick to adopt and implement new technologies.

May have been a bit quiet on social this week as I am a bit immersed in organising the Council of Small Business Organisations Australia National Small Business Summit 2025 running 19-20 August. For association executives it’s a great chance to meet and discuss industry challenges with Small Business ministers, commissioners and regulators.

Hearing from the Independents is one of my favourite panels. Such an inspiring group of women.

Many years ago I was doing student hours with a very experienced homeopath and I asked her when she felt really confident about her prescribing. She smiled and said I will let you know! Now she had been in practice 20 years when we had that discussion.

What I am trying to do with Homeopathy in Clinical Practice is short cut that process for you with some key areas that Homeopathy is effective for and you treat all the time in clinic. Two days of tech just about pushed me over the edge! Not sure whether to laugh, cry or throw something!

I updated the email settings in my course software as instructed and it crashed my website. 36 hours later, two sessions with my IT guy and a lot of emails back and forth with Simplero and my course website is back up! Apologies if you were trying to enrol in my Homeopathy in Clinical Practice course (link in comments) and big thanks to the people who messaged me about the problem.

Bigger thanks to my daughter who finally sorted out the website ! Still too scared to touch the settings at the moment!

Council of Small Business Organisations Australia and the Federal Member for Parramatta, the Hon. Dr Andrew Charlton co hosted the Parramatta Small Business Forum on Thursday and educated small business about Cyber wardens training.

Enjoyed the panel discussion and sharing how COSBOA supports small businesses through its advocacy.
