Recent data has shown that 1 in 7 Australians have been diagnosed with arthritis. Sadly, many are delaying care due to out-of-pocket costs.

If we can break the pain cycle early, it provides much better outcomes for rehabilitation and recovery. An osteopath can work with you and provide treatment and an individualised plan that is specific to you.

What's really important is making sure that you get the right diagnosis. There are some types of arthritis that can lead to joint deformities if not treated correctly. It can even begin to affect other parts of your body like your heart and lungs.

To all AHPs especially osteopaths and those that I'm lucky to work with, happy YOU day! What would we do without allied health professionals...

Today is Allied Health Professionals Day 2020.

Dr Anne-marie Boxall, the Commonwealth Chief Allied Health Officer, recorded a message recognising the valuable work that allied health professionals do in health and other sectors. She also highlights the important contribution allied health professionals have made to Australiansโ€™ health and wellbeing throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.

As the national peak body for Osteopaths in Australia, we're also very proud of our members and how they serve their local communities with dedication, professionalism and passion. Thank you.
