Gippy Girls Can Week 8-14th September 2025.
This is a week-long celebration featuring supportive, inclusive opportunities for women and girls to get active in ways that feel good. You can join a social walk, yoga in the park or go to a ‘come and try’ sport session.
Gippy Girls Can Week is about movement without pressure and fun without judgement. Find the full program at Gippy Girls Can –
Everyone should endeavour to be physically active on most days. Doing 30 minutes of moderate activity a day will help you feel good but if you’re too busy, break it down to smaller time slots – every little bit helps!
To set the theme of the week, the Women’s Adventure Film Tour 2025 will be screened at Heyfield Memorial Hall on Monday 8 September at 6pm, with guest speakers Caroline Trevorrow and Pip Kileen. Tickets only $10 at https://www.trybooking.com/events/landing/1421593
The Women’s Adventure Films highlight the resilience and creativity of women navigating the challenges of the outdoors. The films inspire, entertain and spark important conversations about physical activity, mental health and what challenging oneself looks like.
Don’t miss out on a great night of film, comradery and inspiration.

Are you interested in health or aged care? Do you have views on what care and services are being delivered or you want in the future?
We’re looking for interested people to help us shape the future of our health services.
You don’t need to be an expert; just passionate about your local health and aged care services. Your voice and views are important to us. Importantly, we won’t take up much of your time.
CGH is looking for new members to join our Community Liaison Committee so we can strengthen the relationship between your health service and you. Your lived experience and the lived experience of your family and friends helps us improve the quality of care.
Our staff do an amazing job but they need your feedback to help make a difference to the lives of patients, clients and residents.
It’s not a huge commitment. You will be invited to attend a quarterly meeting either face-to-face or online if it’s easier. We just need your insights into the community’s health and wellbeing.
You can find out more about the role or submit an expression of interest by emailing ceo.office@cghs.com.au or phoning 5143 8319.

We serve an immediate population of Central Gippsland and reach a wider community in East Gippsland in terms of more specialised services such as perinatal services, critical care and surgery.
We are unusual being both a sub-regional and an integrated health service, providing a broad range of primary, secondary and tertiary services, including a near comprehensive range of HACC services, through to adult intensive, coronary care and level 4 neonatal care.
The current focus of the health service is to leverage our integration in assisting with the breaking down of traditional program barriers and service delivery silos that have flourished, in order to develop a highly efficient system that responds to people’s needs. We do this by placing our patients at the centre of a service delivery system focused on supporting the achievement of their goals and aspirations, consistent with the principles embedded in the “active service model’.
