Here at Silver Pawz we believe every dog and cat is different, & that the overall well-being of your pet is part of our job. We aim to keep your pet as comfortable as possible & believe in a Humanity before Vanity approach to grooming your beloved family member. We offer majority of the breed specific groom styles right through yo more custom styles. Have a particular style in mind or unsure what you want done, simply speak to Jess & she'll advise you on what styles are suitable for you and your furry companion. Dogs stay in the grooming area so they have company at all times, as we find that most dogs feel calmer with human company in site. Cats are kept in a separate room though as they often prefer the quiet as they wait. Bookings are generally by appointment. We do however welcome walk-ins for nail clipping, if the doors are open feel free to come in.

I (Jess) have felt very welcome & grateful as the new owner of Silver Pawz, it has been a crazy ride but amazing so far!

Customer service
Dog and cat bathing, drying & brushing, an interest to expand further into professional grooming later on preferred.
General cleaning duties
Stock control

No experience is necessary – all training will be provided.

All we want from you is reliability, a great work ethic, keen to learn and progress, & of course a love for animals 😊 We’ll teach you everything else!

New Owner starting soon.

After 7 wonderful years I am handing my baby over to a new groomer who loves working with fur babies as much as I do. 3rd June will be my last day.

Jessica is a professional groomer, with a high level of skills and experience. Jess has been grooming with me for the last 6 months and has got to know a lot of our fur clients.
Jess works with and handles clients with a lot of care and understanding, she has had her own business before and also has a back ground in training dogs.
I have total faith in Jess taking over Silver Pawz salon and continuing on providing an amazing service.

I will still be here for the next month and look forward to grooming your babies until my last day X Calinda

Due to staff limitations we have had to make the decision to no longer groom large - X large dogs.
Our limit is up to Border collie / Australian shep size for grooming and de-sheds.

We will still groom St Poodles, Groodles and Labradoodles.
All clients with Large - X large dogs on a regular schedule will still be serviced.

Prices for all large - X large dogs will be adjusted to reflect the time it actually takes for the groom. Our regular clients will receive a text message with a new estimate for their groom over the next couple of weeks if applicable.

We have to as a small business keep adjusting with the changing times to keep running effectively.

Thank-you to all current and past clients for the continued support shown to us. It will always be appreciated. X

Our Story

Silver Pawz Salon is owned and operated by Calinda Pendergast. With over 20 years experience working with animals, in training, grooming, vet centres now has a broad knowledge base and you can trust your pet is in great hands.

Developing over the last 6 years the salon is well known in the Sale area. The face of the salon has evolved too, while grooming is the heart of the business Calinda has been driven to learn and help pets with more than just grooming. Common pet problems were a daily decision point between Calinda and her clients.

This is where a whole new educational path started for Calinda, researching and undertakening study courses, the salon now is able to help with more health and well-being problems commonly seen in your family pets.

We must say that in no way is Silver Pawz qualified or a replacement for your vet. You must visit your vet with any health conditions or concerns. What we can do is help support a known condition where possible. A pets diet can be the cause of many common problems seen in pets today.
