On Wed 15th April from 11am-1pm come to the Sale Botanic gardens and join the team from headspace Sale, Wellington Shire Youth Council, Uniting Vic.Tas and other services from across Wellington as we come together to raise awareness of this growing issue.

We had a great day on Tue 17th March at the Sale & District Specialist school. Thanks to all the students, staff and parents who came and had a chat or joined in on our new game of "mental health strategy co****le". There was lots of friendly banter and fun had by everyone.

This week is all about understanding, respect, and celebrating the different ways our brains work.

Neurodiversity Celebration Week is a global movement challenging outdated stereotypes and encouraging us to see neurological differences as strengths, not limitations.

Around 15–20% of people think, learn, and experience the world differently. By being more open, curious, and supportive, we can all help create spaces where people feel understood, included, and empowered to be themselves.

HAPPY INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY to all the amazing women. At headspace Bairnsdale we had the amazing team from GCASA join us for the afternoon, inviting people to come & write postcards for the special women in their lives. The GCASA team then popped a stamp on the card and posted them. A wonderful effort and a great way to celebrate women.

Happy Random Acts of Kindness Day!

Today is a reminder that small acts of kindness can make a real difference.

Random Acts of Kindness Day encourages simple, thoughtful gestures - whether that’s giving someone a compliment, sending a quick message to check in, or doing something helpful without being asked.

These small actions don’t take much time, but they can have a positive impact on someone’s day.

There’s also a personal benefit: acts of kindness can boost mood, strengthen connections, and support overall wellbeing.

Kindness doesn’t have to be big or dramatic - it just needs to be intentional.
