Please join us in giving a warm welcome to our newest dentist, Dr Hayley! 😁🦷

Hayley began her journey in dentistry at just 17 as a dental nurse after finishing high school. She later completed her Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) at University of Adelaide.

Before returning to dentistry, Hayley was a qualified Health and Physical Education teacher in Western Australia - but her passion for healthcare led her back to where it all began.

She enjoys all aspects of general dentistry, especially building strong connections with her patients and helping them achieve their best oral health.

Outside the clinic, you’ll find her playing club netball for the Adelaide Wildcats, exploring new hobbies, or spending time with her three cats - Rosie, Lola and Vespa

Meet Katrina 🦷😁
Katrina started her dental career back in 2011 and went on to complete her Advanced Diploma of Oral Health (Dental Hygiene) through TAFE SA in 2018 - bringing years of knowledge, skill and care to our patients.
She’s known for creating a calm and relaxing environment, especially for those who feel nervous about dental visits, and is highly experienced in orthodontics and teeth whitening. 🦷
Outside the clinic, Katrina loves discovering new coffee spots, getting lost in a good book, and watching her favourite sporting teams in action 🥰

🦷 A Message to Our Patients – Dr Brian Sainsbury’s Retirement

We would like to share that Dr Brian Sainsbury has retired from Salisbury Dental Care! His last day was 24 December 2025, after a long and dedicated career caring for patients in our community.

Dr Brian is a South Australian born and trained dentist and has practised in Salisbury for over 25 years. He returned to Adelaide in 1993, purchasing Dr Peter Morecroft’s share of Salisbury Dental Care, and worked across Salisbury Dental Care and Parafield Gardens Dental for many years before continuing on solely at Salisbury Dental Care.

Many of our patients will remember Brian for his calm, relaxed manner and sense of humour, which helped put people at ease in the dental chair. He was a strong advocate for preventative dentistry, regularly encouraging patients to attend routine visits with our dental hygiene team to maintain long-term oral health.

Over the past four years, Brian worked closely with our current dental team, ensuring a smooth transition of care for our patients.

While Brian will be greatly missed, we would like to reassure our patients that your ongoing dental care continues as normal, with our experienced team of dentists and oral health professionals available to support you.

We thank Dr Brian Sainsbury for his many years of service and commitment to our patients and wish him all the very best in retirement as he looks forward to spending more time gardening, travelling, and enjoying life outside the clinic.

Welcome to the team, Dr JC! 👋

We’re excited to introduce Dr Jih Chern Yau (Dr JC), our newest dentist at Salisbury Dental Care.

Dr JC graduated from the University of Adelaide and has spent the past few years gaining valuable experience practicing in Mount Gambier before relocating back to Adelaide.

He enjoys all areas of general dentistry, with a special interest in conservative restorative care - helping patients preserve their natural teeth, oral health, and long-term function.
He also stays up to date with the latest advancements by attending regular professional development courses.

Outside of dentistry, Dr JC enjoys running and playing badminton with friends.
