A stunning gift from a beautiful patient/friend makes me ponder the question of symmetry in beauty. A frequent request by patients is to tweak the height of one brow, the width of just one cheek. Personally I find some of the most beautiful faces are asymmetrical, like what makes this bouquet so stunning. If it’s flattering I say keep it. If it detracts from one’s beauty I say tweak it.

I’m lucky to have the opportunity to be a trainer for a biomedical company, I help fellow nurses sharpen their skills across a range of treatments.

And one thing I see time and time again? The model is someone’s mum, best friend, or sweet neighbor. She’s familiar, easygoing, and comforting but that’s not the point of training.

Choose a model that challenges you. Asymmetry, movement, texture; real faces that make you pause, assess, and grow.
