In my experience, by the time we hit our 40s, all the emotions we’ve swallowed and ignored — often just to please others — begin to feel like a heavy burden on both the mind and the body.
As a bodyworker, I know all too well that what we don’t express doesn’t disappear. It gets stored as dense energy, and eventually the body responds, trying to compensate for the energetic pressure it has been carrying.
Injury. Dysfunction.
Let’s not feed the labels.
