In November, under the waxing moon and Pisces trining Jupiter, I carefully harvested holy basil (Tulsi) from my 2 thriving patches to prepare medicine. Tulsi has been revered in Ayurvedic tradition for thousands of years and is often called the “Queen of Herbs”. Tulsi’s flavour is gently warming, slightly pungent, with a subtle sweetness – delicious in tea with rose, and equally powerful in tincture form. This small batch was made intentionally harvested by hand, prepared with Care, and extracted to preserve its vitality. Traditionally Tulsi is celebrated for its connection to the digestive, nervous, and immune system systems, enhances cognition, and is a nurturing adaptogen and nootropic – too many qualities to list here! If you’re looking to bring herbs into your daily rhythm, Tulsi is a beautiful place to begin.
