I’ve been “unplugged” with my business socials for a few months - it’s been intentional and necessary!
I have been busy hands on with work with lots of appointments and system changes in my part time job,
unfortunately we suffered the loss of a dear wonderful sweet close family friend immediately after the floods (of whose funeral I prearranged) which was so beautiful to be a part of, yet so confronting and also very incredibly sad - it really affected me and those close to me 😞 ❤️ ,
Unfortunately a couple of very close friends in this time are facing some very serious health challenges, it’s hard to see them suffering and it’s basically just f**kn s**t as they truly don’t deserve it,
I (like almost everyone now) had COVID after letting my guard down and having what I referred to as a 3/4 life mental health breakdown! Well not literally but super close My immune system took a hit - (well duh 🙄) and COVID was a lot worse than I would’ve expected - it really knocked me on my arse!
It can happen to the best of us,
I’m recovering well however have a cold atm but nothing compared to what covid delivered.
I’ve been focussing on my clients (existing and new) whilst making BIG changes to my business structure (thanks to those clients of mine who became my live test cases (insert guinea pig emoji 😂) while I nutted out the IT problems, you’re so awesome and it has helped immensely for my transition during a very stressful time!) ❤️
I’m now 100% electronic and online with a new patient ordering system in place (a flood through your house will do that - subtle push I know, thanks universe, I’m listening now 😂 )
On a personal note we have been doing our share of “couch surfing” as they call it with multiple trips away and staying with our wonderful supportive besties when we could to have a breather from a cluttered dysfunctional stinky home and office space,
On the house front, three months since the floods, nothing much has actually really happened although finally an assessor attended this week (3 months after the floods - that’s seriously how busy the poor buggers are) and it looks like some progress will occur and perhaps even more strip out of tiles and a stinky bathroom and toilet in a week or two followed by hygienists who will assess and treat again for mould and potentially do higher wall strip outs based on their findings (they’re currently half height). (The squeaky wheel gets the oil and I resorted to getting squeaky!) Yes…. we had to resort to being THAT person!!
We’ve put excess stuff into storage so we can be more comfortable in our one bedroom penthouse (as I now call it!, always looking for the bright side),
Meditation 🧘♀️ runs 🏃♀️family & friends have been amazing and without them I’m actually not sure how we would have got this far!
It’s hard to get too upset about our situation when neighbours are literally sleeping in a tent - we are fortunate our kids are all well and truly adults and don’t need all those bedrooms downstairs - but still it is pretty as I say f**kn f**kity f**k f**k frustrating! (Excuse the language but nothing says it better!)
All in all, we are doing really well, we are very grateful for the wonderful people in our lives and in our hearts 💕
Everyone on the planet is being challenged right now with huge obstacles being thrown at them left, right and dead centre. It’s easy to be knocked off your kilter as I was and I highly recommend “unplugging” at least long enough to focus on what’s important and make a plan!
Baby steps, achieving something positive everyday no matter how small gets you there eventually!
Remember energy flows where focus goes and every single thought is powerful not only to you but to everyone in your circle ⭕️ xx
