We hope you are enjoying the new fake grass, generously donated by a WBSLSC family. It has already made a great difference to the space.

We are now calling on our members to help us take it to the next level. We are looking for someone who can help draw up plans and possibly some concept sketches for the back lawn area. We have been consulting with the groups who use the space and have a solid list of ideas that we now need to turn into a grant proposal.

If you have the skills, experience, or are simply keen to help, we would love to hear from you. Please email info@waratahbeach.com.au

Day 6 of Nippers and a big thank you to the MSAR crew for bringing the boat down and giving our Nippers the chance to explore and learn more about it. It was a real highlight of the day.

A huge thanks as well to our water safety team who put in the extra effort today to make sure the Nippers had plenty of time in the water. Your commitment and support are greatly appreciated.

A great day at the Sandy Point Foodies Market with WBSLSC on hand providing first aid support and surf education. It was fantastic to have one of our IRBs on display, giving people a closer look at the equipment and a chance to learn more about surf safety. A big thank you to the patrollers who gave up their time to man the stand, your support is very much appreciated.

Day five of Nippers and we were spoiled with ideal conditions and plenty of time in the water today. A great opportunity for everyone to build confidence and practise their Iron Nipper skills.

A big shout out as well to our marine education session led by Elena Lazzarotto. The kids loved learning some fascinating facts about what lives on and around our very own beach. A fantastic way to finish the day.

Foodies Market notice for tomorrow.

Please be advised that the car park east of the Community Centre will be closed all day for the Sandy Point Food and Artisans Market. We encourage everyone to walk where possible or allow a little extra time to find alternate street parking nearby when coming down to nippers.

Thanks for your understanding and we look forward to seeing you on the beach and then at the market.

Shhh… don’t tell everyone 🤫🎶

Tonight we have live and free music at the Waratah Beach Surf Life Saving Club, Sandy Point, and this one is always a crowd favourite.

Our very own Fiona Curram, incredible local talent from Foster, will be playing from 5.00 to 8.00 pm. Fiona has a wonderful way of getting everyone singing along to their favourite tunes and, before you know it, the deck is full and people are dancing the night away 💃🕺

The bar and food open from 4.00 pm, so come early, grab a seat, a drink, enjoy a bite to eat and settle in for sunset views across Waratah Bay 🌅🌊.

All bar proceeds support our vital club training and lifesaving equipment, so every drink helps keep our community safe.

But seriously… let’s keep this one between us 😉

Happy New Year from Waratah Beach!
As we roll into 2026, the Warabar is gearing up for another big night — and we could use a few extra hands to kick off the year.

If you’re around Sandy Point today and can spare a couple of hours, we’d love your help behind the bar or in the kitchen. No experience needed, full support provided, and it’s always a great vibe on New Year’s Day.
