We’re 4 round in of the 2026 IRB premiership series and Waratah is smashing it!!!

Round 4 was held across 2 days at the Ocean Grove SLSC and turned into one of Waratah’s most successful finals ever!!
Waratah finished 3rd overall for the u23 point score however we had a composite team which bumped some points off relegating us to 7th.
We had some great open results as well finishing 10th overall.
Results included:

Yesterday, we had the privilege of coming together as a community to farewell one of our own, Life Member Sue Barbour.

Surrounded by her husband Tim, family, friends, club members and patrollers, we gathered on the beach to honour Sue’s life and her connection to Waratah Beach Surf Life Saving Club. It was a simple and deeply meaningful ceremony, reflecting the spirit of the club and the community she was such an important part of.

Moments like these remind us that our club is more than patrols and events. It is about people, shared history, and the bonds that bring us together across generations.

We thank Sue’s family for allowing us to be part of this special farewell. It was a privilege to stand alongside you and acknowledge Sue’s contribution to the club and the lasting legacy she leaves behind.

Sue will always be part of Waratah. ❤️💛

Good evening Waratah Beach SLSC members,

The Barbour family warmly invites members to Sandy Point Beach this Sunday, 5 April 2026, to attend an informal ashes‑spreading ceremony to recognise the life of Life Member Sue Barbour, whom we sadly lost last year.

Date: Sunday, 5 April 2026
Time: 3:30pm–4:00pm (following the conclusion of patrol), followed by a drink in the bar

Sue made significant contributions to Waratah Beach SLSC and the broader community, and this gathering will be an opportunity to acknowledge her legacy alongside her family.
