Queensland continues to face a significant challenge with skin cancer. In 2022, over 3,600 Queenslanders were diagnosed with melanoma, the most serious form of skin cancer . Additionally, Queenslanders had over 37,000 episodes of care for skin cancer in hospitals during 2023–24 .
