Afternoon doggie lovers, most of you know around a month ago I lost my beautiful Poppy girl. This was heartbreaking and I want to thankyou all for the beautiful loving supportive messages from you all.

In the past I have always had time between losing one dog and bringing
in a new friend. However in the days after Poppy passed, she came to me in my dreams and nudged me to start looking for a new dog to share my life.

So today I am very excited to introduce to you my new rescue girl named Rosie.

Rosie is 2.3 years old and is an AmstaffX
She had a challenging previous life and was potentially going to be euthanased.
However I found her through a Brisbane rescue group (she had been in foster care for a couple of months)
and I pretty much knew from seeing her profile online she was going to be the one.
I have had her for the last 10 days on a 3 week trial adoption but today she ws officially adopted....no more waiting for either of us!!! She is such a beautiful sweet and loving girl who is a true (heavy!!!) cuddlebug. She loves sitting on my lap although I struggle to breathe lol.
Anyway I am feeling very blessed and privileged to be able to share my life with this gorgeous girl !!!!

Love you beautiful Rosie 😍

Afternoon doggie lovers meet 9 year old Max....the gorgeous and exuberant Labby!! I met Max 6 years ago when he was suffering from ongoing ear and skin issues.
Over the years his owner has continued with Naturopath treatments to help manage his issues.
These days he does so much better than in the early years where he would constantly flare up.
The Summer we have just been through has seen him do really well as we continue to keep his immune system and gut in balance.
He truly is a beautiful boy!!!

Evening doggie lovers 2 months ago I met 15 years old Missy who had been having a terrible time with gut issues including chronic patterns of bloody diarrhoea. Her owner had been back and forth to her Vet but with no proper solutions found.
After our initial consultation I changed Missy's diet and added in Slippery elm powder along with a herbal formula to help heal the gut as well as address SIBO ( *small intestinal bacterial overgrowth) which is commonly linked with leaky gut and other inflammatory patterns.
I am very happy to say that 2 months on she is almost back to normal and despite her age is gaining weight again and having more energy and stamina. Her bowel is normal and her appetite is good. And she loves the herbs in her food!!
We are now working towards a maintenance program for her.
Well done Missy!!!

Afternoon doggie lovers it is with a heavy heart I post this afternoon . This morning my beautiful Poppy crossed the Rainbow 🌈 Bridge. Not many people knew that for the last 18months Poppy had been diagnosed as an insulin dependent diabetic which I had been managing both medically and holistically. Due to some complications around this today I had to make the difficult choice to let her go.

Poppy spent the first 5 years of her life in a shelter and the last 4 with me. You would expect that she would have been jaded and angry with the world because of her challenging first 5 years. But that is looking at it only through the human lens.
Through her eyes, everyday was filled with joy and wonder and she loved everyone.
Poppy, you have taught me to find joy in the small moments, to stay only in the present moment because Spirit is always there and to keep an open heart despite what life throws at you.
So my beautiful girl; I let you go now to be in peace. Although my heart is breaking I will trust this process and know everything has a reason.
I look forward to a time when we will be together again.

Poppy Piglet I love you with all I am.
Love Mum

Our Story

Does your dog suffer from some type of CHRONIC health problem? Skin issues, recurring infections, joint pain, digestive disturbances, stress and anxiety and ear infections are just some of the very common issues we deal with regularly. For many dog owners there is growing frustration at the conventional approach to treating these diseases and issues. The most common concerns we hear from clients is that they are sick and tired of taking their dog back and forth to vets, spending large amounts of money and being prescribed the same drugs over and over. This approach, while useful for treating acute and life threatening issues, does not address these more chronic health issues that are caused by imbalances in your dog’s body.

This is where a more natural and holistic approach can be highly beneficial, as it uses natural diets, supplements and treatments that are aimed at bringing the body gently back into balance, detoxing and healing where needed. At Canine Vitality we are Naturopathic health advisors for caring and compassionate dog owners who want their pets to enjoy the same quality of life as they do. Our work seeks to identify the root or underlying causes of your dog’s health issue and then work to correct this naturally. We understand that individual dogs have specific needs and that when these needs are met, they will live a long, happy, healthy and vital life.

Our animal Naturopath, Lyndall Pinchen has qualifications in both human and animal Naturopathy and has been in the Natural medicine industry for the last 30 years. She is passionate about helping raise awareness around natural therapies as well as helping dog’s regain their health and wellbeing through a natural path.

She currently runs her online store herbs for Happy Healthy Dogs (www.herbsforhappyhealthydogs.com.au) where you can find a range of natural herbal remedies for commone conditions including natural flea, tick and worming products. She is also available for remote consults by way of phone or skype. To find out more please email us lyndall.pinchen@gmail.com NB We do not diagnose as animal Naturopaths- please seek veterinary advice for a diagnosis on all health conditions.
