Afternoon doggie lovers meet beautiful Montana, a 7 year StaffyxLab rescue girl whom I met last week. Montana has a number of health issues including poor digestion, skin itching, weight issues, and dome anxiety patterns. To help her out, in our consultation I recommended taking her off all processed foods and focusing on lean protein like Kangaroo and reducing overall portion sizes. In addition, I have made her up some herbs to support her digestion as well as immune and adrenals plus a gut healing powder in combination. I am looking forward to checking her just before Christmas to see how she is going.
She is so gorgeous!!

Evening doggie lovers meet 10 year old Ari....such a sweet beautiful boy!
Ari unfortunately had to have some antibiotics recently for an a**l gland issue and ever since then, he has started to have issues with his joints particularly at the hip end. I suspect the antibiotics have damaged his microbiome and set up a pattern of inflammation nie affecting the joints. I have put him on gut support along with joint support. He has a persistent sore that he keeps licking at on his front left paw so I've made up some herbs to help heal this internally.
I've also recommended an animal Chiropractor too.
I'll be catching back up with Ari at our next home visit in a few weeks.

He is a huge ball of fluff and so beautiful!!!

Evening doggie lovers meet gorgeous Penny, a Deer faced Chihuahua who lives in California. As a rescue dog, she is SUPER sensitive and has had chronic gut issues for many years. Dogs that are very sensitive natured can often suffer from sensitive gut and skin due to the impact on the nervous system and how this affects but the digestive and skin systems.
Ad she is SO sensitive we have to start very carefully eith one or two herbs a time to make sure she doesn't react. We are going to start her on Ashwaganda for her adrenals and nervous system, Slippery elm for very gentle guy healing and alcohol free Milk thistle to support her liver.
I'll be checking back in a month to see how she is doing!!!

Evening doggie lovers look at beautiful 15year old Meg. Still very active and healthy for her age! Meg has been on my natural flea tick and worming for many years and now needs some support for some general stiffness in her joints. There are many herbs that are helpful for arthritis depending on how it affects each dog. Some of the herbs I've included in Megs mix are Decils claw, Boswellia, Celery, Rosehips and Willow bark. All of these will reduce pain amd inflammation; help reduce uric acid around the joint and support immunity and circulation associated with arthritic issues.
Meg is such a sweet girl and hopefully will continue on for some time to come!!

For many dog owners there is growing frustration at the conventional approach to treating these diseases and issues. The most common concerns we hear from clients is that they are sick and tired of taking their dog back and forth to vets, spending large amounts of money and being prescribed the same drugs over and over. This approach, while useful for treating acute and life threatening issues, does not address these more chronic health issues that are caused by imbalances in your dogā€™s body.

This is where a more natural and holistic approach can be highly beneficial, as it uses natural diets, supplements and treatments that are aimed at bringing the body gently back into balance, detoxing and healing where needed. At Canine Vitality we are Naturopathic health advisors for caring and compassionate dog owners who want their pets to enjoy the same quality of life as they do. Our animal Naturopath, Lyndall Pinchen has qualifications in both human and animal Naturopathy and has been in the Natural medicine industry for the last 30 years. She is passionate about helping raise awareness around natural therapies as well as helping dogā€™s regain their health and wellbeing through a natural path.

She currently runs her online store herbs for Happy Healthy Dogs (www.herbsforhappyhealthydogs.com.au) where you can find a range of natural herbal remedies for commone conditions including natural flea, tick and worming products.
