Relieve 😌 heel & arch pain with a Pedi Roller!

Pedi Rollers can be used as it is or frozen ❄️ cold for greater relief. Simply place it on a hard floor and roll your heel and arch 🦢 over it. Its ridged design aids in circulation 🩸 and helps relieve tired feet, arch pain, heel pain and heel spurs when used regularly.

Pedi Rollers are available for $20 and work best when also receiving treatment from a Podiatrist. To check stock levels, to book an appointment or to see if a Pedi Roller is right for you, call us on ☎️ (08) 6269 2038.

Footwear can both relieve 😌 AND cause problems πŸ˜“. Their role is to protect and support our feet. Here are some tips when buying shoes πŸ‘Ÿ:

🌟 Shop for shoes later in the day to account for the swelling of your feet that occurs during the day
🌟 Try the shoes on in store, this includes walking around in them and try to keep them on for a full 5 minutes
🌟 Avoid shoes that need to be worn in; shoes should be comfortable from the get-go
🌟 Ensure your shoe has a broad toe box with a gap of about 1cm between your toes and the front of the shoe
🌟 Buy a new pair of shoes at the first signs of wear and tear!

Our feet spend a lot of time ⏱ in our shoes, so its important we get the fit right. If you're struggling to find shoes that fit your feet comfortably, or are concerned that your shoes are causing you foot problems, book an appointment with one of our Podiatrists πŸ‘©β€βš•οΈ for an assessment and tailored footwear advice. Simply call ☎ (08) 6269 2038

Yesterday was World 🌏 Diabetes Day. In honour of the event, we thought we'd share a bit about Diabetes and how it affects the feet! 🦢

High blood sugar levels in those with Diabetes can damage the small blood vessels and nerves in the feet, leading to peripheral neuropathy. This is when circulation in the feet decreases and there is reduced feeling in the feet, making your feet less sensitive to things like pain ⚑ and temperature. πŸ”₯

Peripheral neuropathy means that injuries may go unnoticed and then due to the decreased circulation, healing can be slow and may result in ulcers and infections.
Diabetes can also lead to damage of the autonomic nerves, which control things like sweating. πŸ’§ This can lead to warm, red and dry feet.

Our Podiatrists can educate patients on the effects of Diabetes on their feet and how to manage it, provide an assessment of the nerves and blood vessels in your feet and provide foot care and treatment.

If you have Diabetes, you should be seeing a Podiatrist AT LEAST once a year but if you are not managing the condition, then it should be more regular. Book an appointment today on ☎ (08) 6269 2038

Moisturising πŸ’§ your feet using a urea-based cream is the key to getting rid of dry skin and helping with your cracked heels! πŸ™Œ

Urea is a keratolytic. This means it breaks down the outer layer of the skin, helping it to soften and retain moisture. πŸ’¦

We sell Walker's Urea 25 for $15 per 100g tube and only $22 per 500ml pump bottle. Pop into our clinic to purchase yours today. 🀩

Alternatively, if you're already using urea cream but still need help with your dry and/or cracked feet, book an appointment with our Podiatrist for help! Call ☎️ (08) 6269 2038
