Thank you all so much for your understanding, well wishes and kind messages following Tim’s recent health challenges.

We’re relieved to share that his surgery went well, and while recovery is slow (as expected), he’s improving each day.

With over 300 messages to reply to, it’s become impossible to reschedule all cancelled appointments and manage the new requests that have come through over the past few weeks. Because of this, we’ve decided to start fresh with a clean slate.

Tim will be making a steady return to work from tomorrow, so please send a message to him on 0408482105 if you still require an appointment and he will be back to you as soon as possible.

All regular NDIS clients will be contacted directly by Tim regarding any changes to standing appointments.

Again, we are very grateful for your continued support and well wishes for Tim. 🙏

As many of you are aware, Tim has been a little quieter on the work front over the past month. Unfortunately, complications following a recent bout of pneumonia has left Tim with an extended hospital stay and subsequent surgery.

He is now on the road to recovery post-op but will remain out of the clinic for at least the next couple of weeks while he focuses on regaining his strength.

We appreciate everyone’s understanding and support during this time. As always, we kindly ask that patients reschedule appointments if you are feeling unwell to help us maintain a safe environment for all.

Thank you for your continued patience and care. We look forward to welcoming Tim back once he’s fully recovered.

Hi everyone.

Unfortunately Tim has been struck down with pneumonia - turns out he’s not superhuman after all. If you know a good physiotherapist to do some chest physio, let us know 😅

Please be patient with us as we work through a lot of appointment reschedules. We will slowly be in touch with everyone we need to change.

If we have missed contacting you, please feel free to message, 0408482105 to confirm appointment.

At this stage, we don’t know when Tim will be well enough to get back to work. Apologies for the inconvenience.

Lisa.

To all our clients, firstly so grateful to every single one of you for your continued support! We couldn’t run a business without you all, so thank you.

Secondly, TNL physiotherapy has moved location!!
You will now find us at …

🏠 109 SUSAN ST SCONE.

Tim is taking time away this week to continue woking through the necessary adjustments with the change of location. He will get back to those of you who have already contacted for appointments as soon as he can. Apologies for the delays.

There will be some minor changes about appointment requests that we will share as we work through these a little more in the coming weeks.

For now, please continue to send a TXT with name, D.O.B, preferred appointmet days / times and a brief outline of what you require in your appointmet. Tim will get back to you with availabilities as soon as he can. Alternatively, you can send an email.

We look forward to welcoming you to the new location.

Many thanks
Tim & Lisa.

Online booking systems:

Tim & I have looked into this, however at this time we do not feel that it is the most beneficial way of managing our appointments.

We have extremely regular clients in the shop on Monday and Thursday mornings. Tim also attends home visits on Tuesday from approx 10am and Wednesday.

This leaves private appointments available:
-Monday afternoon from 2pm (+ a few mornings)
-Tuesday morning 8-10
-Thursday afternoon from 2pm (+ a few mornings)
-Friday all day.

We do offer some early morning times starting 7am and these get snapped up too. These are generally for sports / recreational injuries over the weekend. Furthermore, Tim is often staying back until 6pm to get through everyone.

We prefer to use a triage system for appointments. Acute injuries are generally triaged higher than chronic injuries. The only way to triage satisfactorily, is if we make the appointment and not the computer.

We have to schedule follow up appointments which are very individualised per person. It could be a few days, it could be a few weeks. This makes it difficult to open up appointments with an online system. We can’t afford to have follow up slots taken.

Tim will never double book his clients. Your appointment is your appointment. It won’t be shared.

Furthermore, the online system still requires a lot of administrative support. We understand it may be “easier” for the client but cancelled & rescheduled appointments at the other end still require a lot of attention. We haven’t found one truly suitable to a sole therapist and one that allows absolute flexibility.

So for now, we will stay in the “dinosaur ages” and push on with SMS 😁

Tim & Lisa.

Hi guys.

We are currently closed and will return 4/10/2023.
To all those messaging for appointments, we will get back to you as we can.

It’s been a minute since we interacted on social media. I thought it might be a good idea to pop some reminders out there. 😊

Firstly, it is easiest for us to keep track of what you need through SMS. As you’re aware, Tim works as a sole therapist and treating his clients is his main priority. I am sure most of you wouldn’t like to have your appointment interrupted by numerous phone calls, so please appreciate that unless urgent, Tim will get back to you when he has a spare minute. Calling several times back to back will not change the situation.

Another reminder, I (Lisa) am often the one at the other end of the phone booking your SMS appointments. I also cannot commit to answering calls every time;
A) I am billing and booking face to face clients.
B ) We have our 2 young children and at times I need to step out to avoid the terrible 2 dramas 😅
C) I am generally not in the office for the full length of opening hours to support Tim.

EPC forms from your GP. A miscommunication from providers is that this entitles you to 5 FREE (in some cases, all free) visits in a 12 month period to allied health services. This is not the case. In fact, Medicare only cover a fixed rate and this is not the full price of a standard consult. For TNL, we have a $22 gap payable when using an EPC form.

Tim is however, very approachable & accommodating to those falling on tough times, so please feel free to approach Tim to discuss genuine payment concerns.

Not showing up to your appointment. We 100% know that things pop up unexpectedly and we are very understanding of these times. As you know, we currently do not charge late cancellation or no show fees. Please just let us know if you are unable to make your appointment so we are not waiting for you. Tim often has wait lists up to a couple of weeks and we try to accommodate those on the cancellation list as much as we can.

Workers comp: if you book an appointment, please indicate if this is workers comp.

Opening hours. A reminder the shop is closed Tuesday from roughly 10am and Wednesdays due to home visits. As a general rule, home visits are for very regular NDIS / DVA patients. Not private visits.

We are so grateful to everyone who has helped our business grow over the past 5 years and really appreciate your ongoing support. 🙏

Many thanks,
Tim & Lisa.

Strengthening and weight management are now considered the gold standard for high-quality care for knee and hip osteoarthritis, with the GP guidelines advising that surgery should be considered only as a last resort.

Acupuncture, glucosamine, insoles, stem cell therapy and surgery have all been dumped in new national guidelines for osteoarthritis.
