Everyone is creating a world according to the body situation, but we are largely out of contact with it.

We experience the psychosomatic body - the Projections of our body instead of our actual body-body.

This relationship has profound and direct implications everyday regard our experience to the world and of our selves.

It is this very 'body-body' that duplicates and mirrors all our thoughts- as feelings and sensations. Then drives us into action

Can you verify this?

How can we work with this psychosomatic situation to reconnect to our life as it is
and take more stewardship?

Well, there are myriad of ways but really - mindfullness of body is a good, tried and tested place to start.

It is Particularly effective in this age of distractions, technology, overthinking and abstraction from our natural world.

Mindfullness of body is connected with Earth. It is an openness that has a base, a foundation.

A Quality of expansive awareness develops through mindfulness of body

A sense of being settled and of therefore being able to afford to open out ๐ŸŒป

A fresh 3 week series opening out this Thursday in macksville. In Awareness Through Movement, we train in experience, with a view to integrate that experience through our embodied life.

Movement is life. Life is movement . If we can change the quality of movement, we can change the quality of life itself.
Thus change , honesty, sensations , our habits, reactivity - response, and adaptable wellbeing, all come into play.
Awareness is integral.

For our time in class, we put down what we are carrying, and become grounded ( a much unexplored and underrated state of being). We then, (simply put), explore many subtle, yet sophisticated movement combinations to evoke our neurological capacity to change.

These classes stimulate an experiential understanding of neuroplasticity. We can feel better, become more adaptable, changeable, resilient, and honest with our state of being and life as it is ...
In this series we are really looking to harmonise all our selves, and feel this possibility as a living process in our every day ordinary life.. moment to moment ๐ŸŒ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿฝ

Movement wise, we will use the theme of rotation. Turning , twisting, and changing direction, as a somatic cue for our learning. Imagine you were aware every time you changed direction. This could be very interesting ....

It might be good to also note that here class we do not use our body as a machine to perform tasks or repetitions, but rather we exercise our ability to observe and explore.

Tomorrow Scotts Head , 6pm at the center of healing we endeavour into a plesent process of let go and relaxing in and through the body.

You may have noticed that when one feels good and natural (without hostility), the response is to expand๐ŸŒ€, While when there is fear, stress, anger or worry, the tendency is to withdraw and contract .

Well, it can be interesting to observe that these states of feeling naturally replicate themselves in the Body for a time , mainly as Contractions, tensions and unecessary held tone.

These next three weeks will be an exploration into a grounded, safe process of sensing our bodies on the floor, that you can take with you, develope and adapt.

In Awareness Through Movement, we enact gentle mindfull movements in different combinations and positions
Evoking a sense of release and harmony in and through the body. Particularly over this three week series on 'letting go', we will be exploring our flexors -extensor relationship. The font and back, on and off, Hard and soft, Push and pull dynamic .

I am excited for the subtleties because to sense your self in a kind, honest, open and loving way can be just such a wonderful thing..

This will translating into easier movement as well such as bending and coming upright as well as easier general upright posture in every day life.

Tomorrow is the start of a fresh 3 weeks of Awareness Through Movement- Stuarts Point.

10am we will meditating on deep listening and our interconnected life.

Then -
Our body holds wisdom.

The Movements will all be all around -freeing up and activating our hip flexors.
Enlivening and activating the pelvis - our center of gravity and power๐ŸŒ€

We will explore the sit bones and translate all this into easier movement , stillness ,
coming together and having fun.

Fresh class starting 5:10pm Macksville Tomorrow!

A time for letting go and restoration coupled with calm vivid attention, plesent sensations and natural insight
Come join this week and next for a potent Intoduction into Awareness Through Movement- the practise- as we unwind and explore key embodied learning themes such as Breathing, Being and befriending the body

This is An unique time to jump into something non habitual and yet increadibly foundational to Life ๐ŸŒ๐Ÿฆถ๐Ÿฝ
As a young passionate feldenkrais practitioner I am naturally keen to explore the human condition -together -and offer somthing genuinely meaningful to the community ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿฝ๐ŸŒŒ๐Ÿงฟโ›ฐ๐Ÿ•Š

What I am presenting these next two weeks is foundational bread and butter feldenkrais and meditation. Good for everyone and all bodies.
I then take a week off to Bundjalung country and come back for fresh three week waves around a particular theme ๐Ÿ™ƒ Such as flexion-extension, rotation, breathing, neroplacticity etc. :)..
So yes, this is a basic summery of what's going on regard of the lay out of my class rhythm, work and service to community but really, the true experience of what we are doing will be Weaving in and out of class ๐ŸŒผ๐Ÿฆ‹

You are all more then welcome ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿฝ come as you are. And also know that by your attending you will be supporting a young local man finding his way to 'right living'

Subtle is Powerfull
A simple yet pervasive principle.

Explored through the body: When we slow down, lower our tone and give more and more into a suporting surface, we find our capacity to sense and feel greatly enhanced.
Becoming much more quiet, we become much more receptive, and the subtle becomes powerful. You begin to notice from where you move, how an impulse starts, feels, and travels through... what's its effects are...

Encouraged to Attend to yourself with a kind and subtle 'Global Awareness' you begin to notice -
Where you are stuck, where you are free , where there is a smooth harmony and where there are contradictory forces hindering your pathway

Subtle is powerful in so many ways, mainly, that it is the building block for all greater expressions. To understand this, by being attentive to the subtle influences behind your movements is what we train in Awareness Through Movement (classes) and apply in Functional Integration (private sesisons)

The experiential discovery of movement, feeling, thought and sensation in the field of subtly can open many new relms of possability. Conscious embodied change.
Where we can recover, discover and refine our ability to do and be- from a most mundane, Functional basis- into the most novel, unique and meaningful activities. It really is up to you.

One can actually improve remarkably effective without pain, pushing or force. Which is truely amazing.

BUT when you have an issue that disempowers your ability to do what you love, you might, after some time, calcify a believe that you will not get better or "this is just how just how it is, iv tried" and close down your options.

If this is you or someone you know - It may be benefitial to know that this method of change, improvement and process is absolutely available and possible for you but please be aware, that it will still fall into the domain of self responsibility, working with who and what you are In an honest and open way, in any any given moment- ideally without judgement and in response ...
it is a practise and a process
but this I would say is one of the most subtle and powerful transformative practises we can cultivate as human beings, and not just for our movement freedom but for our emotions, relationships and thinking too. Since they all come together and effect one another.

So yes - Feldenkrais is for adaptable wellbeing and Awareness Through moment is a formal context to explore all of this :) It is for every body- come as you are - and is complimentary to most other practises like yoga, Thai chi, judo, athletics, dance, surfing, gardening , walking, etc
Its also very compatible with artists- artistic exploration and thinking, to think with the body and explore the many diverse neural pathways In and Through the Body that will inevitably have an impact on your art flow and form .

Of Corse its good for the human who simply wishes to try somthing new - feel better-good- different, recover Function, relax more, rest better and explore themelfes in a safe and supported environment.

Functional Integration sessions are one to one (table touch supported ) thus will be most potent and specific to you, while ATM is absolutely foundational - they compliment each other beautifully.

Being aware and free of restraints is the motivation and is a powerful play of subtly.
