Beaches. Humid air. Gorgeous people who do anything for you. That’s Bali.

It’s been epic so far. The place is truly special and we’ve seen a lot.

One week to go!

Gotta say bringing three kids hasn’t been the relaxing and replenishing trip I’d hoped for so far, but they’re getting great experiences and learning alot thats for sure. And it has been a big learning curve for us all as we’ve never been here before!

Looking forward to getting back in clinic on 4th Nov and hearing all your updates (hoping some babies have been born and there are some + pregnancy tests too!!) 💕

I hear the weather in Adl has been horrid! Hope it clears soon so we can all enjoy some sun!

For current patients / anything urgent, blood results, IVF results etc please email the clinic (it’s on your appointment emails or our website 😊 )

For new patients / please make your initial consult booking via our website (link in bio above) and I’ll see you when I’m back!

We also turn ONE on 11th Nov so stay tuned as we will have a lovely lil competition for you to enter 🤗

If you’re not going to want to slap me, I will share some of my family adventures over the next couple of weeks.

This ancient Chinese medicine jam is close to Bec’s heart.

Within this medicine there are numerous branches (five in fact) and Bec works with all of them.

Acupuncture
Herbal medicine
Diet and dietetics
Qigong
Tuina/Chinese massage

These days Bec usually refers patients on for remedial massage, but some of her treatments still do include hands on work.

This medicine is truly amazing. It can seem confusing and sounds rather complex when she’s explaining what’s happening within your body! But it fits with the complex web that is the human body-the human existence….we are intricate beings!

If you haven’t explored acupuncture or Chinese medicine before, and you’re looking for that “something” in your healthcare journey that’s been missing….here we are! This is your calling 💕

These are changing slightly over the coming months with alternate Wed later appts coming up (last one is 5pm).

Dr. Bec still works alternate Saturdays but as we draw closer to Christmas she can open up some times other days too. 😊 if demand is there.

Beach Acu & Wellness are hosting a wonderful workshop for any women out there who need some help with food choices, feeding the family easily, women who want to build energy levels and sustain their overall wellbeing!

This gem of a workshop is the brainchild of Steph McInnes-a well known local Nutritionist , and Dr. Rebecca Brook from our clinic (Acupuncturist and Dr. of Chinese medicine).

These lovely ladies invite you to open your minds, have a morning of TLC and learn more tips and tricks to make life feel a bit easier overall!

What’s going to happen?

We start with a gentle breathing & body focus

Then move on to some nutrition guidance from Steph about areas such as
- food swaps
- reading food labels and understanding them
- easy meal ideas
- foods to try on the day!
- guidance on fussy eaters
- how to simplify meal times

Brunch - try some of the foods from the morning session!

Bec will then present some info about
- how the body struggles to replenish after having children (even years later!)
- how to build up your “stores” again with diet and lifestyle
- which organs become more drained and why
- why eating enough for a menstrual cycle is essential

On the weekend, amidst footy finals and the Royal Adelaide Show, our Acupuncturist, Dr. Rebecca Brook headed to at Moana to support some locals with ear seed treatments!

What are ear seeds?

They are tiny seeds from the Vaccaria plant, on a tiny piece of tape. These seeds are applied to certain points on the ear using auriculotherapy, otherwise known as ear acupuncture or ear acupressure (when using ear seeds).

Auriculotherapy treatment falls within Chinese medicine as an ancient form of treatment (using this microsystem of the ear). It falls within “acupuncture” and is such a beautiful stand alone treatment-like what Dr. Bec offered on Saturday!

Now, this amazing microsystem is SO cool because the ear is very receptive!

How sensitive are your ears? The treatment is usually quite complementary to other modalities, or during an acupuncture consult, as the ears are both easily accessible AND easy to navigate!

Dr. Bec finds this a useful option for those who don’t think they’d be keen on acupuncture, or those who feel more sensitive to the “needle” type treatment options.

Ear seeds can stay on for 3-5 days, so you are able to have self-care at home after your acupuncture treatment in clinic.

You know we have a little retail space here at the clinic, but this will be expanding!

We plan on having a few new gorgeous things in clinic over the coming months including…

💝 small giftwares
☯️ some more divine Chinese medicine products and more herbal teas
🤗 more healthcare products eg bone broths, supplements, lip balms etc
🪴 small greenery options and plants

As you know we LOVE plants here at Beach Acupuncture & Wellness, so we plan to have some lovely little plants in our retail space, along with pots and planters!

Plants provide such a grounding experience for those coming in for treatments, so expect to see more here!

Just in time for Christmas too.
