The pelvic floor is a group of muscles that sit at the base of your pelvis — almost like a hammock or sling.
These muscles support important organs like the bladder, uterus, and bowel.

It’s time to understand it, train it, and trust it 💛

Tanvi, our women’s health physio is here to help you get it working properly!

How’s your balance? 🦩👀
Balance is one of the biggest predictors of long-term mobility, injury risk, and falls! Most people don’t realise theirs is declining until it’s tested.

Here’s what you should aim for:
• 18–39 yrs: 40–45 seconds
• 40–49 yrs: 35–40 seconds
• 50–59 yrs: 25–30 seconds
• 60–69 yrs: 20–25 seconds
• 70+ yrs: 10–15 seconds

⚠️ Struggling to hit your benchmark? That’s your sign to take action.
The good news is balance can be improved at any age with the right training. If you want a proper assessment (and a plan tailored to you), we’ve got you covered.

👉 Book in with Uday today at Seaford Physio & Pilates and let’s get you feeling stronger, steadier, and more confident on your feet.

When the clinic wants to make social media content… but the principal physio just wants to treat patients…

Educational content loading… stay tuned!

10/03/2026

10 things I’d tell you as a physio (if I wasn’t afraid of hurting your feelings)

1. Pain doesn’t equal damage
Pain is influenced by load, sensitivity, and context — not just injury.

2. Movement is rarely the problem
Problems usually come from how much and how often we load.

3. Rest isn’t rehab
Symptoms settle with rest, but tissues adapt through progressive loading.

4. Strength alone isn’t enough
Capacity, control, and endurance matter too.

5. Perfect form is a myth
There’s no single correct way to move — variation is normal.

6. Your body is adaptable
With time and the right load, tissues get stronger.

7. Education is treatment
Understanding pain reduces fear and improves recovery.

8. Flare-ups are part of progress
They’re feedback that your load needs adjusting.

9. Consistency beats intensity
Small efforts done often beat bursts of motivation.

10. Symptoms don’t always mean harm
Feeling pain doesn’t automatically mean damage.

Book in a consult with Tanvi for more information… we promise she won’t pull your arm off!
