As the wheel of the year turns towards Yule, we invite you to treat yourself to our 1-day Online Introduction to Shamanism workshop!

Rooted in Norse shamanic tradition, this experiential day focuses on 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗰 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝗹-𝗘𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 and an 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝘂𝗻𝗲𝘀. Using ancient Shamanic Drumming and Mesmer-Vision Quest, we guide participants into altered states of awareness that 𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗮𝘅 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗼𝗱𝘆, 𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗲𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗱, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄 𝗱𝗲𝗲𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 to arise easily.

This workshop is centred on direct experience rather than belief. It is non-judgemental, non-competitive, and suitable for complete beginners through to experienced practitioners. It’s also an ideal way to experience our work before committing to IICT recognised Shamanic Practitioner level training.

This is a powerful way to pause, reset, and reconnect at this time of year.

Are you feeding your soul what it needs?

In our courses and in our book “Runes: The Secret Healer”, we talk about how vital it is to understand and give your soul what it NEEDS in order to gain healing, self-empowerment, and spiritual evolution.

We emphasize the word NEEDS because, in our society, we often confuse what we WANT with what we NEED. So we end up running around trying to fulfill our wants, but we never really progress or feel any happier, because we never gave ourselves what we actually NEEDED. Our needs, especially our SOUL needs, are vastly more important than our wants.

This can be a hard concept for people to truly understand, especially when it comes to knowing the difference between a want and a need. That’s why we highly recommend watching this great episode of The Twilight Zone called “What You Need”. It illustrates the idea perfectly in a really cool way!

Never compare yourself to others, or seek to be equal with others. We each have our own unique fate and spiritual path, given to us by the Norns (the ancient goddesses of Fate in Norse paganism, equivalent to the Moirai or Fates of Ancient Greece) at our birth.

To truly respect and honour ourselves, we must also accept and honour what the Norns have chosen for us. We do this by being true and authentic to who we are. Not by trying to be something we are not.

Wow! An ancient Old English Anglo-Saxon healing recipe has been discovered to be more powerful than modern antibiotics! Once again the old ways have proved themselves right! 😲

A 1,000-year-old onion and garlic remedy just beat modern antibiotics in the lab.
A medieval medical recipe has stunned scientists with its ability to kill antibiotic-resistant bacteria.
Known as "Bald's eye salve," the 1,000-year-old remedy combines garlic, onion, wine, and cow stomach extracts.
Originally found in an Anglo-Saxon text called Bald’s Leechbook, the mixture was tested by researchers at the University of Nottingham and was found to eliminate up to 90% of MRSA—one of the most dangerous superbugs—in lab and animal models.
What’s more remarkable is that none of the ingredients worked individually; only the complete, faithfully reconstructed mixture showed this potent antibacterial effect. The ancient remedy proved more effective than modern antibiotics, even against biofilms—dense bacterial colonies that are notoriously hard to treat. While scientists are still working to understand exactly how it works, the discovery opens new doors in the fight against antibiotic resistance, a global threat projected to cause 300 million deaths by 2050.
