This month, we're highlighting a product we regularly recommend when the skin needs additional support: The SIMKA Bio-Cellulose Facial Mask.

This mask is designed to help hydrate and comfort the skin when it feels dry, sensitised, or affected by environmental stress. The bio-cellulose material sits closely against the skin, allowing for even contact and a cooling, calming application experience.

We often suggest this mask as part of a supportive at-home skincare routine, or following selected in-clinic treatments, depending on individual skin condition and needs.

Barrier support and hydration play an important role in skin recovery and resilience. Products like this can be useful when the skin requires extra care between appointments.

Available to purchase online via the link in bio or enquire in-clinic to see if this product is suitable for your skin.

Most of the time, I try new techniques on myself before I bring them into the clinic.

I want to know how it feels.
I want to see how my skin reacts.
I want to understand the healing, the swelling, the little details that you only truly understand when you go through it yourself.

It’s easy to learn from books and trainings , but experience hits differently.

If I’m recommending something to you, I want to feel confident in it. Not just technically… but personally.

I would never offer something I wouldn’t do on my own face.

That’s just how I work.

Because your trust matters. And I don’t take that lightly.

Wise words by Buddha that we live by at Cosmetic Aesthetics Victoria.

Valentine’s Day has taught me that love isn’t just about romance or grand gestures. It’s found in the little moments, taking time for yourself, checking in on a friend, sharing space with family, or choosing to slow down when life feels busy.

Care shows up in many forms. In how you look after your skin, how you listen to your body, and how you allow yourself to be supported by the people around you.

Self-care is a way of staying connected to yourself and to the relationships that matter most.

Today feels like a reminder that love doesn’t need to be loud to be meaningful. Sometimes it’s simply about choosing kindness, presence, and a little more gentleness, or yourself, and for those you hold close.

I work with faces, but what really matters to me are the people behind them.

Every person who sits in my chair comes with a story, a season of life, and their own reasons for being here. My role is not to change them, it’s to support them, guide them, and help them feel more like themselves.

With time, I’ve learned that real confidence doesn’t come from procedures alone. It comes from trust, from feeling safe, and from knowing you’re in the hands of someone who genuinely cares.

I’m constantly learning, travelling, growing, and working on myself because I believe you can only take others as deep as you’ve been willing to go yourself.

This work is not about perfection.
It’s about feeling aligned, inside and out.

🤍
With love, gratitude and appreciation Viktoria

MYTH: SPF is only necessary in summer...

FACT: UV exposure occurs all year, including on cooler or cloudy days.

A common question in clinic is whether daily SPF still matters once summer ends.

Ultraviolet radiation is present whenever daylight reaches the earth’s surface. While UVB levels peak during summer, UVA radiation remains relatively consistent throughout the year. UVA penetrates cloud cover and glass and contributes to cumulative skin damage over time.

This means everyday activities, driving, walking outdoors, sitting near windows, still expose the skin to UV, even when the weather feels mild or overcast.

Daily use of a broad-spectrum SPF supports the skin’s protective barrier and helps minimise ongoing environmental stress. The focus remains on consistency rather than perfection, building habits that support long-term skin health.

Skin health develops gradually. Small, informed choices made consistently play an important role in how the skin functions and ages.

If you’re unsure which SPF is best suited to your skin, a personalised consultation can help guide product selection and routine.

In recent months, Australia’s regulator has confirmed the ongoing detection of unauthorised and counterfeit cosmetic medical products entering the country. Some of these items closely resemble legitimate products but have not been assessed for quality, safety, or proper handling.
In Australia, certain cosmetic medical treatments are restricted from advertising.
