đŸ’„Truth: there are two chemicals that are EVERYWHERE, and they are causing problems with your hormone balance.

But don’t stress - it’s an easy fix when you know where they are lurking and how to easily swap things out to reduce your exposure.

Eliminating these two chemicals is a really important step to getting on top of hormonal problems. Because they are everywhere and in everything, it is important to reduce your exposure.

đŸ€” It might sound like a stretch to say that your oestrogen dominance is being hugely helped by these two chemicals, but hear me out:

✔ these two nasty little chemicals are hijacking your hormones, and they are creating chaos. Usually, oestrogen dominance.

As in, cold hands and feet, periods not regular, weight gain and fluid retention, heavy periods, PMS, and so much more.

Sound familiar?

What if I told you how to eliminate those two beastly chemicals so you could reduce your exposure and start getting a handle on your hormones?

Introducing my upcoming online LIVE workshop “Cut the Chemcials and Balance Your Hormones” which is allll about understanding how those pesky chemicals are getting in your body, what problems they are causing, and how to reduce your exposure.

Here’s what I’ll take you through in the workshop:

The two SNEAKY chemicals that are proven to cause large problems with your s*x hormones, specifically the balance between oestrogen and progesterone
💚 Why these chemicals are in plain sight and nothing is being done about it - even though big business knows the chemicals are bad news
💚 What kind of symptoms these two chemicals are causing
💚 How these chemicals get into your body
💚 My step-by-step no stress method of how to reduce your exposure. This is not going to break the bank, I promise

So, if your periods are heavy and you have PMS, and you’re feeling a bit like a hormonal swamp monster

Suffering from oestrogen dominance and itchy skin?

Here are my top 5 tips for reducing the itch:

1. Get rid of xenestrogens out of your life (endocrine disrupting chemicals)
2. Stop taking really hot showers. No more lobster backs!
3. Reduce your intake of high-histamine foods
4. Consider a supplement to help your liver clear oestrogen quicker
5. If you're taking HRT, ask your specialist for a review.

Itchy skin in perimenopause is more common than you might think.

It usually just happens one day, and you don’t think much of it. Your ni**le becomes inexplicably itchy. Or you get out of your nice hot shower and are driven to insanity with having to scratch every square inch of skin off your shins. Your eyes get itchy, and all of a sudden you think you have hayfever when you never had it before.

You chalk it up to a bad day, then move on.

But what's going on behind all that itching is a change in oestrogen levels. Depending on your type of itch, it could be too much oestrogen or a drop in oestrogen. I'm going to take a look at both types, part 1 has dropped on the Reverse Puberty podcast this morning.

In today's podcast, part 1, I'm looking at itchy skin that comes from too much oestrogen, or oestrogen dominance. It's the kind of itching that:

Usually happens more towards the beginning of your perimenopause
Is characterised by "hot" rashes, such as urticaria and hives
Is often acompanied by hayfever you never had before, and a clogged up nose in the morning when you get up
Reflux

If this sounds like you, check out the Reverse Puberty podcast to find out why it happens, and what you can do about it!

Too much oestrogen, or oestrogen dominance, is pretty common at the beginning of perimenopause.

One of the issues with high oestrogen is that it affects the immune system, overstimulating the release of histamines - which can cause untold problems and underpin so many of the symptoms in perimenopause.

Check in on the Reverse Puberty podcast tomorrow, I'm going to be talking about the affects of histamines on itchy skin in perimenopause.

Hormonal headaches, or even worse, migraines, are some sort of extra-terrestrial nightmare that nothing seems to fix.

Not even industrial strength painkillers seem to stop them.

But try this next time you feel one coming:

Press the writing end of a ball-point pen into the outer corner of your pinky nail, just on the skin.

Often it helps 💚

Migraines very regularly turn up as a result of hormonal changes, especially during perimenopause. The reason is obvious, hormones, but understanding exactly why they happen and what you can do about it can make you feel less like a sitting duck at the mercy of migraines.

In this podcast episode I’m going to talk about the underlying cause of hormonal migraines, the different types of migraines you might experience, some current medications on offer and what you can do yourself to try and prevent your migraines.

Increasing migraines, or new migraines in perimenopause are the worst.

You never know when you're going to get done over and have your plans ruined...or have to call into work sick. Again.

(Have you even got any sick leave left, between migraines, perimenopause, 'Rona and kids?)

Check out the Reverse Puberty podcast tomorrow, I'm going to explain why migraines worsen during perimenopause, conventional options to manage migraines, and what you can do yourself to reduce the frequency and severity.

Here is what I will cover:

💚 What is the difference between ADD and ADHD, and the three categories of ADHD symptoms

💚 The 10 signs that are common with an ADHD diagnosis and the menopause transition

💚 How oestrogen plays a part in modulating the function and production of 3 key neurotransmitters dopamine, acetylcholine and serotonin. Also, how these neurotransmitters underpin our cognitive function

💚 What to do if you feel like this might be the answer to why you struggle with daily tasks and lack motivation.

I can help you :-)

I see you – you’re working hard, doing so many things. You’re a mum, trying to work your job and build a career, do all the shopping, meal planning and cooking, keep your kid’s different after school activities on track.

On Saturdays you somehow try and fit in all the washing and ironing, some family time and cleaning. You’re doing your best to keep your relationships solid and be a great friend, maybe you even take on the responsibility of looking after family members.

In fact, they’ve probably created a superhero based on you.

But it’s not all tea parties and roses.
