Today marks two years of Support at Home OT! 🩷

It’s incredible to think that what began in the spare room of Jess’ home has now grown into a thriving practice and an office based in Semaphore.

In just two years, we’ve completed over 3,500 Occupational Therapy consultations for Home Care Package clients, and since securing CHSP funding in November last year, we’ve dedicated more than 1800 hours to supporting CHSP clients!

A big thank you to our amazing team and community for making this journey so meaningful. 🩷

✨ Get to know our OT Tash! ✨

🩷 Why did you choose to become an occupational therapist? When I was deciding what to study, two strong passions stood out: being in a helping profession and creating a safe space where others feel seen and heard. OT allows me to do that every day, and really is the perfect blend of heart and purpose.

🩷 What’s a fun fact people might not know about you?
I love to sew! I used to attend sewing classes and have made everything from garments to quilts. I enjoy taking a creative idea and bringing it to life – it’s a slow, sometimes fiddly process, but always so rewarding.

🩷 What’s one thing you can’t live without?
My two groodles, Laylah and Honey! They’re sunshine in fluffy form – always by my side, reminding me to slow down and enjoy the little things.

🩷 Why did you choose to become an occupational therapist?
I became an occupational therapist because I love the idea of helping people live meaningful lives. Working in aged care is particularly fulfilling for me, as I get to support older adults in maintaining their independence to live safely at home, and to be engaged in the activities that matter most to them. I also love hearing my clients’ stories and learning from their life experiences.

🩷 What do you get up to when you aren’t at work?
When I’m not at work, I love spending time with my family, my bunny Frankie and my cats Leo and Kye. I love craft projects, and I’m currently working on learning to sew a bag! I love discovering new cafes and adventuring through the Adelaide Hills.

🩷 What is your guilty pleasure?
I love nostalgic childhood movies and I have watched High School Musical more times than I care to admit!

Support at Home Occupational Therapy is on the lookout for a full-time Admin Assistant to help us keep things running smoothly. If you or someone you know is organised, tech-savvy and loves a good spreadsheet, we’d love to chat!

Based in our beautiful new Semaphore Road office, a typical ‘day in the life’ will involve:

- Data entry, reporting & invoicing
- Managing emails & electronic client files
- Taking calls & intaking new clients
- Keeping our team organised & efficient
- Contributing to the occasional meme-exchange and office banter

We’re looking for someone who:

- Is confident with computers and systems
- Writes well and communicates professionally
- Has strong attention to detail
- Is friendly, efficient, and proactive
