Each morning before school, my friends and I did a paper round in the early morning, saving every cent. And then, in a moment of wild devotion and astonishing innocence, we secretly went to a horse auction and bought a horse. We rode him home ba****ck along a highway, taking turns. When I tell this story to friends with twelve-year-old children, they cannot believe it, and frankly, neither can I.

Meet Spud - A standardbred who is everything but standard! ❤️

Spud was born to be an Equine Therapy horse: he is always ready to have a cuddle and he is one of our most reliable presences! Some clients have defined him as the big friendly jock in American movies that always has your back 😇

He is a standardbred but there is nothing standard about this gelding, I mean, look at that gorgeous fringe! Friendly, calm and wise, Spud loves human company, especially men whose hands can give him the deep rub that he loves on his bum. 🍑
