Introducing Tara! Charismatic, straight to the point, and always on the go, Tara is a powerhouse both in and out of the clinic. She thrives in a fast-paced environment, delivering efficient and effective care while keeping things refreshingly direct. Whether she's working with clients, expanding her skills (Pilates enthusiasts watch this space), or making the most of her rare free time, Tara is always moving with purpose. Tara and her business Well Balanced Osteopathy, Strength & Conditioning offer a service that perfectly complements and co-exists with our Exercise Physiology team. After completing a double Bachelor of Health Science and Applied Science (Osteopathy) at RMIT in 2017, she has built a strong career in private practice. With an ASCA Level 1 Strength & Conditioning certification, she enjoys working with a variety of client presentations, including but not limited to women’s health and pre and post-partum care. Outside of work, you’ll often find Tara out on the water, enjoying her love for water skiing!

Get to know Dylan! A dedicated and highly valued member of our team, Dylan brings a great mix of expertise, reliability, and enthusiasm to everything he does. His sharp thinking, strong sense of accountability and bad jokes make him an integral part of the workplace. Here are some reasons to judge him:

Born and bred in regional Victoria, where he established a passion for health and physical activity obtaining his Certificate III in Fitness whilst completing VCE studies. Dylan moved to Bendigo in 2014 where he then went on to graduate from La Trobe University with his Bachelor of Exercise Science and Masters of Exercise Physiology in 2017.

Dylan has been engaged in physical activity since a young age, participating actively with local sporting clubs and various regional and representative teams. As a result, he has gained experience in a wide range of exercise modalities. Clinically Dylan has experience in various settings such as both inpatient and outpatient rehab, community health & private practice.

Currently, he practices privately in Seymour Wednesday-Friday in addition to teaching at La Trobe University in their anatomy and physiology departments. He aspires to assist his clients in enhancing their abilities and achievements, whether it entails assisting them in recovering from medical conditions, injuries or purely enhancing their skill and level of fitness through focused exercise and training.

Say Hello to Hannah! A dedicated member of our team, Hannah brings passion and energy to everything she does. With extensive experience in Exercise Physiology, she is deeply committed to helping people improve their long-term health and build a positive relationship with movement.

Hannah is a Seymour local who completed a Bachelor of Health Science (Exercise Physiology, Exercise Science, and Nutrition) in 2010, followed by a Master’s Degree in Clinical Exercise Physiology in 2012, both at Deakin University. She has worked in various settings, including private practice, hospitals, gyms, and community health, gaining valuable experience in treating a wide variety of conditions and injuries. Additionally, Hannah has qualifications in Pilates (mat & reformer), Boxing, Technical Lifting, and women’s health.

Meet Sam! As the founder of Seymour Exercise Physiology, he's not only a driving force behind the practice but also a familiar and friendly face to many of our longstanding clients. Beyond his expertise in movement and rehabilitation, Sam has a few favourite things that might just surprise you!

Sam is a local to Seymour, growing up in the town before then moving to Bendigo to commence his tertiary studies at La Trobe University in 2014. Sam completed a Bachelor of Exercise Science before going on to complete his Masters in Exercise Physiology.

Sam has experience in treating clients in community health, hospital settings, and private health. These differing experiences have given Sam the chance to be exposed to a wide variety of conditions in different settings. In addition to working with a clinical population, he also enjoys working with clients wanting personal training and helping athletes reach their full potential.

He enjoys assisting people to feel empowered about the function of their body and helping them to excel well beyond what they thought was possible. The greatest enjoyment Sam gets is seeing the delight on a person’s face when they can do something they never dreamed possible.

Meet Jen! This longtime Seymour local brings warmth and experience to our team. With a background in administration and a passion for helping others, she loves welcoming new and familiar faces to Seymour Exercise Physiology.

Jennifer has lived in Seymour for most of her life, attending the local primary and high schools. On leaving school Jennifer started work at the local CFA headquarters before taking time out from the paid workforce to raise five wonderful children with her husband, who was a local high school teacher. Jennifer returned to the workforce as a swimming instructor, specializing in the teaching of adults, for which she won a national “Austswim Teacher of Adults” award. Jennifer then spent five years running the Swim School at Seymour Sports & Aquatic Centre where she was very passionate about Water Safety.

With her husband now retired, Jennifer enjoys working a couple of days a week, sharing the administration role with Ellie. She loves seeing new and familiar faces come through the door at Seymour Exercise Physiology and watching the transformation that tailored exercising provides people.

Outside of work Jennifer enjoys spending time with her family including the 6 (so far) grandchildren.

Introducing Ellie, a valued member of our admin team. Here’s a glimpse into some of her personal favourites:

Ellie has lived in Yea for nearly 9 years and has a passion for people and community Ellie started her working life in Childcare for 14 years, then moved into hospitality for 7 years and finally finding her niche in administration for the past 15 years.

In February 2021 Ellie sustained a spinal cord injury and became a paraplegic, this is how she was lucky enough to become involved with Seymour Exercise Physiology for just over 3 years.

Through her rehabilitation journey to be the best she can be, she realised that Exercise Physiology is something that she believed in and was wanting to join Seymour Exercise Physiology as part of the administration team.

She enjoys all aspects of this role and becoming a small part of people’s journey. Outside of this she enjoys photography, gardening and socialising. Ellie looks forward to meeting you.
