The power of breath! 🌬
When we think of our health, we often work through things backwards! Starting with a “quick fix” supplement, then exercise, then our nutrition and food choices, then maybe examining our sleep habits, how much water we’re drinking, and if we’re super health nerds we may then explore breathwork…
But in reality, the most important steps for our health go in the OTHER direction…
We need to breathe!
Then drink water…get quality sleep…eat beautiful natural whole foods…move our bodies…and then, perhaps, tweak our already balanced food choices with a specific supplementary vitamin.
Breathwork can be dismissed as too simple to make much of a difference, and yet it is the first thing we do when we come into this world and the last thing we will do when we leave our physical forms. Did you know that a long, slow outbreath signals to your nervous system that you are safe? Slowing our breathing and focusing on our outbreaths can help our nervous system heal from all sorts of stress and support our bodies to move from fight and flight into rest and digest.
