How to cut your shiitake bag, and how to trick those fungus gnats!

Yes I know there’s a crack in my storage box, u can see I have taped it up in the photos.
And yes u want to spray the walls of the box before laying in over the block, water will pool a little where the box touches the surface, but that’s what keeps out the gnats, and drowns the ones that try and get through.

Our little mate recently made an appearance and blessed our space 🥰 isn’t he just gorgeous

The weather won’t stop us today, we have created a space under cover for our workshop!
Can’t wait to see you all at 10am for some mushroom madness 🍄‍🟫🤪

Raw milk masala chai with freeze dried lionsmane (Oh my goodness it’s good for me AND DELICIOUS 🤤) and shiitake potato bake picnic while soaking up the sunshine 🌞 gazing upon gorgeous jersey cows and this handsome calf (we are halter training 💙)

I’m sure I’m going to get absolutely no work done today but what a magical spring day! I needed this.. I am soo blessed to have this life 🙏

We're packing up our mushrooms and heading up the coast to the Wynyard Foreshore Market this Sunday, which is also Father's Day! What better way to celebrate Father's Day than by visiting the markets? 🫶

I told my cows and pigs today that I was going to the markets, venturing out into the world so to speak.
Between you, me, and the gatepost I think they were quite shocked and possibly a bit offended to hear I might actually have a life outside of them 😒 and that I'm going for the day.. Like a WHOLE day-theyd like to voice their disgruntledness for the record! 😉🍄‍🟫
