Well that was an incredible Term 3!

I'd truly love to thank each and every beautiful soul who joined me on the mat over the last couple of months πŸ’–

Under the umbrella of 'yoga', you can find the most colourful of rainbows. There is yoga, and there is yoga, and there is yoga. SO many lineages and facets and styles to bring together the 8 limbs of yoga.

What I have grounded into as a teacher, is a yoga that recognises and enhances us as vibrational beings. Focusing deeply on the energetic body (via the conduit of the physical body), helping us transmute negativity into brilliance, and skyrocketing our physical experience of gratitude, to magnify our chances of healing ourselves wholly, not just via optimum physicality of the physical body's many systems, but through the spiritual laws of the Universe.

My first & deepest yoga love was Kundalini Yoga, and while I am not currently offering regular Kundalini Yoga classes, I do utilise a massive element of Kundalini Yoga - the KRIYA.

Kriya literally translates to 'action'.
And in yoga practice, a kriya combines four elements: movement, breath, sound (internal mantra), and hand position (mudra). These ancient practices that I weave into my classes affect all layers of the body and mind, to bring about absolute balance and wholeness via the activation and unlocking of the energy channels (nadis) and centres (chakras).

I am proud to offer this electric fusion of Kriya with Hatha Yoga, offering a powerful and immensely beneficial blend of poses (asanas) - in which we often find a flow, within and to/from - with carefully-placed kriyas, to provide an experience that stretches, strengthens, and stirs (flushes, detoxes, and activates) the body, for holistic health on all levels!

This is too powerful to not spread around far & wide!

As requested, here is a deeper dive into the Hawaiian prayer that we dedicated our pranayama to, in class yesterday.

This is about dissolving negativity from conflict, and conflict itself!

This concept first made its way into my awareness about 5 years ago, but I admit, at the time I obviously wasn't ready to apply it, for reasons I won't go into here.

But thankfully a beautiful soul sister recently reminded me of it, as I confided in her a situation in my life that has been the greatest source of anguish I've ever known.

This time, hungry & ready for peace, I managed to bring this prayer into my energy and direct it to this situation that has previously caused such angst.

The results were so immediate and remarkable that I have now used it multiple times in multiple situations, all with the most beautiful outcomes!

It's so simple, and easy, and enormously beneficial!

Why do I offer Retreats?

When we give ourselves permission to stop, to retreat, to give back to ourselves, we have the opportunity to remember who we are. It helps us ignite our creativity, to be inspired by others stories, to share our own story in a safe, confidential and welcoming space.

To be nurtured by others also, to not have to cook or clean or be responsible for anyone else but yourself is integral to finding peace and remembering your Self worth. We can become hemmed in by our day to day lives, a women’s retreat brings opportunity for renewal and a new perspective of our individual path and how that is so very important not only to our families but to the world. What we do to ourselves ripples out energetically, therefore or if we can find meaning in the day to day, our lives create positive energy and have a positive impact on others.

When I offer retreats in the Northern Territory it is very important to me to only give what is necessary. The journey of the retreats isn’t about pretending to be indigenous, or knowing things I couldn’t even pretend to understand. It gives people the space, the beauty of the journey into the Heart of sacred land, to learn about themselves in the their own individual and unique ways. It is a very sacred journey for each person, I cannot tell them how to do it, but I can install in them the respect and humility needed to walk lightly, to Be present, to remember the history, to understand that there is so much we cannot know. Therefore it is important to travel these lands aware, without laziness or expectations. To come empty and leave empty.

Our Friday morning yoga class is back again πŸ’™

'Stretch, Strengthen & Stir': a Kundalini-inspired Hatha Yoga class designed to (you guessed it), stretch & strengthen your physical body. But what's the 'stir' part about?

Well, one huge benefit of yoga (particularly Kundalini yoga) is how it gets everything moving and functioning optimally inside! When non-movement and lack of exercise is making you feel stagnant from the inside out, my unique and signature style of yoga can turn that around!

The impact yoga has on the glandular system is phenomenal; the energy it brings via the respiratory system is vast; the way it flushes toxins is next level; and the boost it brings to the internal organs is substantial.

They don't call it the ultimate mind/body/soul workout for nothing!

Beginners are welcome to this class, as are those with past injuries they are navigating. Yet it's also suitable for those with experience. I aim to create an energising, uplifting, challenging, thought-provoking & deeply restful experience for all.

It's a teeny tiny 6-week term, this term; the perfect chance to see how the introduction of yoga can enhance your lifestyle.

Doors open at 8:15am and are locked at 8:30am. If you're running late, please send me a message. I'll come unlock the door for you after our opening pranayama, which is about 15minutes long. This is to preserve the experience of meditative quiet for participants.
