The kitchen smelt incredible, and it is such an honour to be sharing my skills with others, and showing you how easy (and fun) cooking can be, with minimal ingredients.

There is a running theme through the women I have been speaking to lately...clients, friends, family. All experiencing feelings of overwhelm, exhausted, anxious, stressed, overstimulated, rundown.

They are all wanting peace, quiet, things to slow down, sleep, the mind to be calm, solitude, connection.

Autumn is the time where things naturally slow down, the days become shorter, the air cooler, a sense of change. Our natural rhythms are wanting to do the same, however in this crazy, chaotic, busy world we are in, it is hard to stay in harmony with this. We push, keep going, ignore...and our health - physical, mental and spiritual, all suffer.

I have been working on ways to better support myself, and ways to help you - my clients, friends and family find ways to help soften the intensity of the world around us, to bring you back to yourself.

I will be sharing more with you over the coming weeks to help you do this in varying forms...recipes, cooking, workshops, immune support and more.

Exciting news!

& myself .gardem.nutrition are beyond excited to be hosting a beautiful women's wellness retreat this coming May in the gorgeous location of Berry, NSW.

In a world that feels incredibly heavy in conjunction with the day to day load that many of us carry, exhaustion, overwhelm, anxiety and frustration are heightened.

What a beautiful morning spent at the International Women’s Day Brunch celebrating this year’s theme, and women’s wellness - something very close to my heart.

There is something incredibly inspiring about being in a room full of women who are celebrating one another, lifting each other up, and sharing their stories. A special thank you to guest speaker for your powerful message about the importance of blood donation. It’s something I haven’t done yet, but after hearing your moving story, I will definitely be doing so.

And let’s be honest… dressing up was a bonus too. It was so nice to step out of my usual mum uniform and put on something a little special for a change 😂

My client came in to see me for the first time a few weeks ago. She was exhausted, felt dizzy when she woke up in the mornings, anxious and flat.

We talked about her health, her lifestyle and then had a look at her diet. She thought she was eating too much during the day, but it turned out she wasn't actually enough!

I gave her a plan of action to follow until I next saw her, including guidance on portion sizes, meal timing and what to include with her meals, with some recipe suggestions to get her on track.

She excitedly came in to see me this morning, and couldn't wait to share how good she was feeling - she had more energy than she could remember, no longer felt dizzy when she woke in the morning and was much less anxious. She was amazed she got these results from simple dietary adjustments!

Sometimes it's really easy to get caught up in the noise of advice on the internet and media, online groups, the latest supplements, shakes, the list goes on, all promising energy and amazing results, when sometimes, a lot of the time, it just takes someone to sit down with you, look at how and when you eat - simple, sustainable advice, to get you feeling better again.

Hello!

I am a degree qualified Clinical Nutritionist (Endeavour College of Natural Health) and trained Chef with over 20 years experience in the kitchen. I love food, and i love nutrition and what better way then to combine the two together!

I learnt the hard way several years ago what extreme stress can do to the body. After working hard as a chef for 15 years, I found myself to be burnt out, highly stressed and constantly exhausted - i didn't recognise myself in the mirror any more. I wasn't well, miserable and had lost direction in my life. After falling pregnant with my daughter i had the wake-up call or “sliding doors” moment I needed - this was not the way I wanted to live anymore.

I realised that my passion lay with natural health, and decided to focus solely on my degree.Today, i am a different person, and am so passionate about helping others be the best versions of themselves that they can, that they can be happy, healthy and stress free!
