Once the weather begins to get cooler and the nights start earlier, it can be easy to tuck into unhealthy snacks and get into bad eating habits. So, we have some tips on how to maintain a healthy diet for these cooler months ahead: 1️⃣ Complex carbs- foods like oatmeal, wholegrain, nuts or fruit keep you fuller for longer 2️⃣Vitamin C and Zinc- To help support your immune system and bodily functions. This can come from foods such as citrus fruits, kiwi, berries, broccoli, sweet potato and spinach 3️⃣ Omega 3s & 6+ polyunsaturated fats- Including healthy fats in your meals can increase satiating, keep you fuller for longer and reduce the chance of over eating. Omega-3 Fats are found in oily fish (e.g. salmon, mackerel and sardines) and Omega-6 fats are found in nuts (e.g. walnuts), seeds (e.g. chia seeds), and olives.
