🖤💛❤️ NAIDOC Week 2025 – The Next Generation: Strength, Vision & Legacy ❤️💛🖤

As we celebrate 50 years of NAIDOC Week, we honour the resilience and leadership of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. This year’s theme, "The Next Generation: Strength, Vision & Legacy," calls us to reflect on the past and look forward to a future shaped by the strength of young leaders, the vision of communities, and the legacy of ancestors .

At Connectivity, we are committed to supporting First Nations individuals impacted by traumatic brain injury. We recognise the importance of culturally safe and community-connected pathways to recovery. By listening to and amplifying the voices of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, we aim to build a future where all individuals have access to the care and support they deserve.
Let’s walk together towards a future where all recovery journeys are respected, connected, and empowered.

As part of our commitment to equity and culturally safe care, we’re proud to announce the upcoming launch of Connectivity’s Deadly TBI Resources — Australia’s first Aboriginal-specific concussion resources, co-designed by Mob, for Mob.

These groundbreaking resources centre community voices and lived experiences to ensure brain injury support is accessible, culturally respectful, and empowering for First Nations communities.

On Sorry Day, we pause to reflect on the historical and ongoing trauma faced by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. We acknowledge the deep pain caused by the policies of forced removal, dispossession, and disconnection from culture and community. Connectivity stands with Indigenous Australians in recognising the profound impacts these actions have had on their lives, their families, and their communities.

As an organisation committed to improving health outcomes, we understand that healing is not just about medical care—it is about respect, recognition, and action. Today, we reaffirm our commitment to working alongside Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to address the health disparities they face, including the impact of Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and its unique challenges in Indigenous communities.

We know that genuine reconciliation requires more than words; it requires continuous effort, collaboration, and the creation of culturally competent healthcare solutions. On this Sorry Day 2025, we acknowledge the past, support the present, and commit to a future where all Australians, regardless of their background, have equal access to the healthcare and opportunities they deserve.
