Today we come together to celebrate and raise awareness for World Down Syndrome Day by wearing our crazy and mismatched socks!

This years theme for World Down Syndrome Day is "Together Against Loneliness" which aims to highlight the social connections and community building for individuals with Down Syndrome.

Hi! My name is Teesh. I co-own and run a small allied health company in Perth, Meraki Allied Health . Meraki works with children and families (and adults too), many of which have a disability. We provide psychology, social work, counselling, PBS, play therapy, and assessments.

This is *not* affiliated with Meraki Healthcare on Wyndham street!

I return to Shepp semi-regularly as it is my hometown and it’s been on my mind for some time now to explore offering services to my hometown community - if it’s something that is in demand.

During visits, we would be able to provide assessment services (Autism, ADHD, cognitive assessment) and could consider small group info or support type sessions (eg. What is PDA and how do we support our PDA-er? The basics of play therapy and how to do it at home). Telehealth would also likely be an option for aftercare or ongoing services, if required.

I have an upcoming visit in July/August and would love to hear from the families on the ground now, if this is an area of need in the GV that maybe we can help with!
