I felt privileged to be invited by Waranga Health to speak to the Men's Shed Community in Murchison this Friday morning. I wanted to take a moment to express my sincere gratitude for the opportunity to speak with the group about skin cancer and its preventative measures. It was an absolute pleasure to share information that I hope was helpful and informative. Your warm welcome and engaging questions made the experience even more enjoyable.😊

The information session was even better when one of our patients was willing to share his experience of the journey from having skin check to getting skin cancer treatments at GV Skin. I was very pleased to hear how our little care and effort could change a person's life and there was even a 'heart-touching' moment during his sharing.🥲 I truly appreciate his kind words and trust in our care. It's patients like you that make our profession so fulfilling.

We are looking to employ a practice nurse to help assist our Doctors in providing quality care to our patients.
Our clinic provides a friendly, positive and respectful environment. Patient care and early cancer detection is our focus.
The suitable candidate will need to be professional, have excellent communication skills and a willingness to learn.

Your Role:-Assisting Doctors with procedural workProvide after care duties, removal of sutures and wound managementSterilizing surgical equipmentRestocking of equipment/surgical consumables

Preferred but not essential:-Experience with wound managementSurgical assisting

Medical Receptionist Position!!

Shepparton, VIC

We are looking to employ a receptionist to work in our busy reception area. Our clinic provides a friendly, positive, and respectful environment to all.

As the first point of call we require a reliable and friendly attitude with a willingness to assist our patients, doctors, and staff.

The suitable candidate will need to be professional, have excellent communication and phone & computer skills and an eagerness to learn. On-the- job training is provided.

Part-time position to commence June 2024 then to become fulltime covering maternity leave position beginning August 2024.

In conjunction with the national skin cancer action week, I felt honoured to be invited by Waranga Health to speak to the community group in Stanhope. My main task was to raise their awareness of skin cancer and to educate them on the 'armors' they should put on to protect their skin from the powerful and harmful effect of the scorching hot sun especially when the summer season is just around the corner. Hence, the title of my talk, "The Battle: Skin VS Sun."

I am glad that the message of Sunsmart (primary prevention) and getting their skin or spots check done (secondary prevention) was well-received by the audience. Let us gear up and be ready to fight against the sun this coming summer.
