Why Kelsey chose to work in the NDIS sector:
Kelsey grew up with her mum and aunties working in community health/services and always admired their passion and commitment to their jobs. She has always seen a future in a job that is dedicated to giving back and caring for people. 🥰

Kelsey’s favourite thing about her job:
Overall, Kelsey believes the best thing about her job is connecting with participants and seeing their independence and confidence grow overtime. 🙌

Where Kelsey sees herself in 10 years:
In the next decade, Kelsey would like to complete a Bachelor of Social work and continuing work in community services. She would love to move back to Melbourne and work in advocacy and/or the family violence sector. 🫶🏽

Recognising abilities rather than disabilities is essential for fostering an inclusive society that values diversity and promotes equality!! ✨

By doing do, we encourage individuals to reach their full potential, which can lead to greater self-esteem and empowerment. This shift in perspective gives an opportunity to individuals with disabilities to showcase their abilities.

Many organisations acknowledge that individuals with disabilities bring unique perspectives and skills that can significantly enhance team dynamics, creativity, and problem-solving skills. These individuals can effectively showcase their abilities, dedication, and passion by engaging in community service, employment, or volunteer opportunities. This involvement not only provides them with valuable experience but also facilitates networking and connections with others who share similar interests.

By emphasising inclusion, individuals with disabilities can effectively create meaningful contributions to society 💪💖

At GV All Abilities Care, we believe that strong support starts at home.❤️

Parents and families play a vital role in the care and development of our participants. That’s why we actively involve them in their loved one’s journey—whether it’s through open communication, regular updates, or working together to create the best support strategies.

By collaborating with parents, we ensure that our participants receive consistent care, guidance, and encouragement both during our supports and beyond. Because when we work together, we empower individuals to grow, thrive, and reach their full potential.

Stronger support starts with family.💙

🌟 Meet Matt 🌟

Matt is a passionate and talented individual, recently turned 36, with a love for his beautiful partner, two children, and a third on the way! As a musician and drummer for the heavy ambient alt-rock band *Terrestrials*—where he’s played for 17 years—Matt’s love for music runs deep. When he's not jamming, you'll find him enjoying footy (as a proud Richmond supporter), camping, fishing, or engaging in nearly every board sport, from surfing and skating to wakeboarding and snowboarding. Cars and motorbikes also play a big role in his adventurous lifestyle.

**Why Matt Chose to Work in the NDIS Sector**

After working in construction and as a fibre optic cable tech in Melbourne and FIFO, Matt decided to follow his empathetic nature and desire to help others, joining the NDIS support sector. The reward he feels from making a difference in someone’s life is more fulfilling than he ever imagined.

**Where Matt Sees Himself in 10 Years**

In the next decade, Matt dreams of owning a large property filled with animals, fun outdoor activities, and accommodation for the public and clients to use as respite and for outdoor education. His vision is to create a space where people can come to learn how to fish, camp, engage in water sports, ride, and, of course, play with animals!

**Matt’s Favorite Thing About His Work**

Matt finds immense joy in the progress his clients make. Helping to improve their livelihood is what drives him in this field—knowing that he is making a tangible, positive difference in their lives.

🌟 Meet Berkkan 🌟

Berkkan is a dynamic team member with a passion for gaming, indoor soccer, volleyball, and traveling! Whether it’s competing on the soccer field or exploring new places, Berkkan always brings a high level of energy and enthusiasm to everything he does.

**Why Berkkan Chose to Work in the NDIS Sector**

Berkkan was drawn to the NDIS sector because of his desire to help individuals with disabilities enjoy life to the fullest. He is committed to helping his clients go on adventures, socialize, and assist with their everyday tasks—all while bringing smiles and joy to their lives. For him, it’s all about making a positive impact.

**Where Berkkan Sees Himself in 10 Years**

In the next decade, Berkkan has big dreams. He envisions opening his own business within the disability services sector, providing support to people all across Australia and making an even bigger impact on the community.

**Berkkan’s Favorite Thing About His Work**

Berkkan loves being able to assist his clients with their daily tasks, but his favorite part of the job? Playing music and having fun with his clients! There’s nothing better than seeing them light up while jamming to their favorite tunes.
