Our thoughts are with everyone affected by the current bushfires. This is a challenging time for many in our community, and we are thinking of all those impacted, including emergency services and volunteers working tirelessly to keep others safe.
Please remain vigilant and fire-aware, and ensure you have an action plan in place if your surroundings or residential area are at risk. Stay informed, follow local emergency advice, and be prepared to act early if conditions change.
With the extreme heat, itβs also important to be aware of heat exhaustion. Symptoms may include dizziness, headache, nausea, fatigue, muscle cramps, or feeling faint. Move to a cool place, drink water, and rest.
Seek urgent medical help if symptoms worsen, you are unable to cool down, you experience confusion, collapse, or stop sweating, or if you are worried about your health or that of someone else.
Please take care of yourselves, check in on vulnerable family members, neighbours, and friends, and stay safe.
