It's been a little while since I posted on here, so thought I'd start with 5 tips for the Christmas Period.

1. Don’t aim for perfect — aim for balance
Christmas isn’t about restriction. Enjoy the special foods, then gently return to nourishing meals. One indulgent meal won’t undo your health, but chronic stress about food will.

2. Start the day with protein and hydration
A protein-rich breakfast and a big glass of water sets blood sugar, energy and appetite up for the day — making it easier to enjoy treats without overdoing it.

3. Keep moving in a way that feels good
A walk after meals, a swim, stretching or dancing in the kitchen all count. Movement supports digestion, blood sugar, mood and stress levels.

4. Protect your sleep and nervous system
Late nights, alcohol and social overload can drain energy quickly. Choose a few early nights, limit alcohol where possible, and take quiet moments to reset your nervous system.

5. Stay connected to what truly fills your cup
Laughter, connection, fresh air, gratitude and downtime are powerful medicine. Your mental and emotional wellbeing matters just as much as what’s on your plate.
