Thank you, Isla!

A huge thank you to our wonderful volunteer Isla, who generously gave her time over the Christmas holidays to support our residents here at Harbourside Port Stephens.

Isla jumped straight in — assisting with activities, sharing plenty of smiles, and becoming a valued part of our Harbourside community. Our residents absolutely loved having her around, and her warmth and enthusiasm made a real difference during the festive season.

As Isla now turns her focus to Year 11 and her studies, we wish her every success for the year ahead. 🌟

All the very best, Isla — and we hope to welcome you back to Harbourside again in the future.

Pet Therapy Visits with Alfie & Esme

Our residents at Harbourside Residential Care loved spending time with Alfie and Esme, whose gentle cuddles and friendly faces brought so much joy and comfort. Moments like these truly brighten the day and create beautiful connections.

🎄 Looking Back on Christmas at Harbourside 🎄

One of our Christmas highlights was capturing some very special moments with Santa and his two four-legged friends

From gentle pats to big smiles and plenty of festive cheer, these Santa photo moments brought joy, laughter and a real sense of Christmas magic to our residents and staff. It was a lovely opportunity to pause, connect, and create memories to treasure.

It’s often the simplest moments — shared laughter, furry cuddles, and familiar traditions — that mean the most.

A Beautiful Way to Wrap Up the Year at Harbourside Seniors Hub

Our Hub crew enjoyed a very special Christmas Eve filled with all the good things — a delightful High Tea, craft activities, a lovely lunch out, and time to celebrate Mavi’s birthday.

It was truly a packed day, full of laughter, connection and joy — the perfect way to finish off the year together.

Thank you to all our wonderful clients for making 2025 another year full of amazing memories. You are the reason we do what we do, and you make it so incredibly fulfilling.

Here’s to friendship, fun and many more moments to cherish in the year ahead

It may be only three days till Christmas, but that didn’t stop our Harbourside Seniors Hub Outing Group from getting out and about and making the most of the festive season.

Our day out included a refreshing morning at Nobbys Beach, followed by a delicious barramundi lunch in Medowie, and of course an ice-cream treat for the trip home.

Great conversation, great experiences, great food — just a great day all round.

What a truly delightful morning at our Intergenerational Day, bringing together clients from the Harbourside Seniors Hub and the younger generation at Spirited Play Cafe

We were so grateful to Spirited for hosting us and providing a delicious lunch along with beautiful craft activities shared between young and old. The joy in the room was unmistakable.

For many of our clients, the simple pleasure of holding a baby or having a little one sit on their lap is something they don’t often get to experience anymore — and the smiles said it all. These moments of connection are incredibly special and deeply meaningful.

Santa was also a huge hit with the children (and the adults!) A big thank you to Santa for braving the warm day to spread cheer and entertain both the young and the young at heart.

A morning filled with laughter, creativity, and genuine connection — exactly what intergenerational moments are all about.

Creativity in Full Swing at Our Seniors Hub

Our Harbourside Seniors Hub has been busy putting together beautiful handmade Christmas cards, filled with creativity, care and festive cheer.

This wonderful activity was made possible by the generosity and talent of one of our invaluable volunteers, Helen.

Thank you, Helen, for sharing your time, creativity and kindness — your efforts help create meaningful moments and lasting memories for our Hub clients.

Fay, it has been such a pleasure getting to know you, and we all look forward to another year filled with laughter and connection.

We are so grateful to be part of such a caring community — it’s moments like these that remind us why we do what we do.

Getting Creative for 2026!

This week, our wonderful Seniors Hub Crew got a head start on the new year by creating artwork for our Happy New Year 2026 banners. These colourful creations will be proudly displayed in our Seniors Hub and Home Care Office as we welcome the new year.

It was a week filled with great creativity, plenty of laughter, and lots of shared moments — a perfect reminder of the joy that comes from creating together. We can’t wait to share the finished banners with everyone in the new year!
