Our local lady, Amanda Battle Yoga Teacher/Photographer/Spiritual Gangster-Warrior, is making waves with her words and standing up to show case, be, and give a voice and face to those that know the wisdom of water…

“Blue therapy isn’t just some trendy wellness term – it’s science wrapped in salt water,” Amanda tells us.

“The ocean literally changes our brain chemistry. The negative ions from crashing waves boost serotonin levels, the rhythmic sounds activate our parasympathetic nervous system, and the blue colour itself has been proven to lower cortisol. But beyond the science, there’s something deeply spiritual about surrendering to something bigger than yourself. The ocean holds space for our emotions without judgment. With a heavy heart we say goodbye 💔
Glitterbug, you were the light of our lives.
🌈 Rest In Peace my Princess 🪽

You blessed us with 19 years of the cuddliest, purriest, fluffiest snuggles.

You moved house 5 times & each time, adjusted like a Queen.

You welcomed my boys into our home & loved them like they were your own.

You completely stole the hearts of all that have graced us at the Yoga Shala.

You touched the hearts of so many, and even loved to hang, draped over our heart & shoulder.

The sunny spots feel empty today.
Your spot on the couch, empty.

Smokey eats alone & sleeps more,
he’s sad & clearly misses his play pal.
Maya is just straight up heartbroken.

The waves of grief are intense,
each one serves as a reminder of just how much you meant to me. Dearly loved ❤️
