There were moments in my daughter’s childhood which stand out more than others, always the ones where we bonded the most. I remember how much we loved watching Fran Drescher's The Nanny; Drew Barrymore’s Ever After; and Kirstie Alley’s It Takes Two.

I will always be grateful for the laughs and smiles and truly delightful comedy Kirstie Alley brought to our lives. It seemed like things got hard for her over the years; there were things she said and did that made me think life had taken her in some painful directions. But none of that ever overrode for me my gratitude for the gifts she gave.

Sometimes when a person of such talent passes aways, you realize in ways you hadn’t before what a true talent they actually were. Kirstie Alley always made it look so easy. What a gift she was. I hope she finds peace and happiness in the realm where she is now.

I think that after you die, what you gave while you were here comes back to you a thousandfold. That means that wherever Kirstie is now, she knows a lot of joy. And she deserves to receive it all.

May she Rest In Peace.
