He has professional education with Anatomy Trains and has developed his own unique style, blending Remedial Massage with Postural Adjustment, helping create body awareness, balance and postural neutrality. Originally from the Bay of Islands in New Zealand, Leon relocated to Australia in 1994 working as a carpenter. He then took up driving road trains through the North West of WA. 1998 saw a big change in Leon's life, where a workplace accident left him with only 3% vision in his left eye and a complete loss of his right eye. After rehabilitation, Leon rejoined the workforce in 2006 working for Nexus Freight, organising the delivery of fresh produce from the NT and Kimberley region to the Perth markets until 2013. During that time, he represented Australia in tandem cycling, both on the Velodrome and road. This culminated in a World Record for the 200m sprint in 2004 and subsequent medals at the World Championships in Switzerland, 2006. Leon has also participated in iconic cycling events around Australia. In 2011 he completed the Triple Peaks Challenge in Falls Creek, Victoria.
