Every young person deserves a safe place to call home.
Our Specialist Homelessness Youth Support Program supports Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness by providing early intervention, outreach, and culturally safe, strengths-based support.
We help our young people stay connected to community, build life skills, access education and employment and find stable housing pathways.
At Ungooroo, we’re proud to be an Aboriginal community-controlled organisation delivering culturally safe care that supports the health and wellbeing of our communities.
Today, on National Close the Gap Day, we reflect on what this means for our communities:
• Stronger social and emotional wellbeing
• Deeper connection to culture and community
• Better access to essential health and support services
• Creating more opportunities for economic participation
We support community at every stage of life; from homelessness support, cancer care coordination, Elder Care Support, and NDIS programs to comprehensive GP and allied health services and Integrated Team Care that make healthcare more connected and accessible, close to home.
Our Social and Emotional Wellbeing programs support mental in a culturally safe way, while our new Specialist Medical Hub is removing barriers and bringing vital care closer to community.
Barranggirra is helping our learners grow through education, training, and mentoring while Dookal and WUPA create pathways for business and creativity – supporting Indigenous artists and opportunities for economic participation and growth.
2026 is already shaping up to be a big year for Ungooroo and we’re committed to building stronger and healthier futures for our communities.
