My 5pm classes at Singleton on Tuesdays are on a break while I’m away for work. Had a lovely morning practice in my hotel with this garden view. Classes are still on at Bellamichi Yoga though. 💞🙏🏻

Brrr! It’s cold outside today and it’s windy too! Winter can lead us to stay in more where it’s cosy. It’s a great time to keep a yoga practice going too. It can help move stagnant energy, boost the spirits and enliven the mind. Yoga is on tomorrow Tuesday 5pm in Singleton in a lovely warm space. Dm to book 🙏🏻💞

Today I was up with the sun to facilitate the first of a series of morning yoga classes for the staff at the Lone Pine Barracks, the home of the Australian infantry. Almost everyone there was a beginner and most of them soldiers. Mostly male. In a huge gym. No yoga mats just making do with acro mats. Very cold morning of about 4 degrees in Singleton. I taught a beginners class sequence that I wrote during my yoga teacher training back in 2018, thanks to for all those assignments - I use those sequences all the time. I feel like I’m going back to the beginning again, teaching newbies. It reminds me of my first classes - what sparked the love of yoga in me 💞 I’m looking forward to seeing what unfolds over the months ahead as these sessions continue.

I love the idea of inviting someone into our peaceful calm state! We do absorb the moods of those around us, and it can hard to keep our own nervous system calm around people in a distressed, anxious or angry state. One of the benefits of yoga, is learning how to reliably and deliberately calm your own nervous system. Join me and experience the difference tomorrow at 5pm.
