I NEED TO TOUCH THE WATER 🌊
What I really loved about Morocco was that the people really knew how to speak their feelings. They are passionate humans with a beautiful faith and an unshakable connection to family that we see in a different way in Australia. They wear their hearts on their sleeves and my take is that humanity is all the more better for it.
Hanging out at our local surf break in Morocco waiting for the tide to turn so we can get some good waves and we were chatting to most vibing Moroccan we have met (of that there are many 😎)
He said he was feeling a bit unwell. We asked if he would surf today and he said “yes, I need to touch the water”. He said because he was feeling a sick the surf would be the best medicine.
I just loved how articulate this guy was to connect into exactly how he felt at the time and was able to still know that nature would help to heal him in some way. Even if his knowing was connected to what he loved to do the most (surfing), the fact that nature was his ‘go to’ was beautiful to witness.
