Today we’re proud to celebrate the incredible women making a difference in every industry — especially Australian manufacturing.🦘
A special shout out to our very own Jamie-Lee, who joined the Bendtech team in February 2024 as our only female factory team member. 💪
Jamie-Lee began her journey in despatch and has since worked her way up to becoming a Laser Cutter Operator, now operating advanced machinery and playing a key role in our day-to-day production operations.
She represents the strength, skill, and determination that women bring to manufacturing every single day. Her hard work, positive attitude, and commitment to quality make her a valued part of our team.
At Bendtech, we’re proud to support women in manufacturing and to be part of an industry that continues to grow and create opportunities for everyone.
Looking for a little inspiration? Here’s what Jamie-Lee had to say to women wanting to step into manufacturing:
"I started in an industry where everyone around me was male.
In the beginning, some people doubted me simply because I was a woman. That was hard, but I chose to stay, learn, and grow in my role.
Over time, my confidence grew, and my work began to speak for itself. I realised I didn’t need to prove I deserved to be there — I already did.
Being the only woman in the factory became something I was proud of, not intimidated by.
My journey has taught me that you don’t have to fit in to succeed. You just have to keep showing up.
To all women and girls: you belong anywhere you choose to be."
