Sensory boxes are a great and inexpensive way for your child to learn, explore and grow! Encourage your child to engage their senses by feeling, smelling, hearing and even tasting the items in their sensory box. Grab a small tub/container and place some whipped cream, blue jelly, mixed cereal or pasta to create an under the sea theme! You may use different chewy lollies such as gummy bears, to act as animals in the ocean. Alternatively, use a cookie cutter and press it into an apple to create different sea animals!

Encourage your child to explore, play and have fun with this activity!

🧸 Putting Words to Play

As part of placement, one of our OT students had the opportunity to observe a speech therapy session at Inspire. They saw firsthand how powerful play can be for developing communication. By simply adding words to what a child is doing, therapists create natural, meaningful opportunities to support language growth.

This workshop is designed to provide valuable insights and practical guidance for educators, other professionals and parents. The 5 key areas covered in this workshop will be:
