What you’ll be doing:
• Helping transport people to appointments, outings, and more
• Being a warm, friendly face along the way

• Working With Vulnerable People Card

Community Choir – Every Friday at 10:30am
Come along and enjoy the joy of music! Our friendly choir welcomes members of the public to join in. No experience needed – just bring your smile and love of singing.

Saturday Coffee Shop – 1:30pm–3:30pm
Pop in and relax in our cosy coffee shop, open to the public every Saturday afternoon. We’ll be serving delicious sweet treats and a range of hot and cold drinks. It’s the perfect place to catch up with friends or meet new ones!

On Friday night three of Emmerton Park’s awesome trainees, Brianna Keep, Isabelle Stokes & Zarna Ollington attended the Work and Training awards.

All three were absolutely deserving of their nominations and have worked incredibly hard in gaining their qualifications.

Brianna and Zarna both won their categories!

Brianna winning the Aborgianal and Torres Strait Islander Student of the year and Zarna winning
School Based Trainee/Apprentice of the Year.

We are so incredibly proud of all three of these amazing young women! We are lucky to have them as part of our organisation and providing exceptional care for our residents.

This national recognition is a testament to the dedication, compassion, and professionalism that each and every one of our team brings to Emmerton Park.

We thank our staff, volunteers and the community for sharing our commitment to excellence and the positive impact we make in the lives of our residents and clients.

Final award winners will be announced on Aged Care Employee Day – Thursday, 7 August 2025.

Are you looking to kick-start your career in administration while making a real difference in the lives of people in the community?
Join our supportive and welcoming team in a professional aged care environment!

We are currently seeking a motivated and friendly Reception & Administration Assistant Trainee to join us at Emmerton Park.
This is a permanent part-time traineeship position offering on-the-job training while completing a nationally recognised qualification in Business or Administration.

About the Role:
• Provide front desk reception and administrative support
• Greet and assist residents, families, staff, and visitors in a professional and compassionate manner
• Answer and direct phone calls and manage email correspondence
• Assist with filing, data entry, and general clerical tasks
• Support various departments with administrative duties as required

About You:
• Enthusiastic and willing to learn
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Professional presentation and positive attitude
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Able to maintain confidentiality and a high standard of professionalism
• No prior experience necessary – just a great attitude!

What We Offer:
• Paid part-time traineeship with mentoring and support
• Gain a Certificate III in Business or similar qualification
• Be part of a caring and values-driven aged care team
• Career development opportunities within the aged care sector

Eligibility:
You must be eligible to undertake a traineeship in Australia (this may include recent school leavers or those looking to re-enter the workforce).

On Monday, May 19th, we opened the coffee shop and hosted a special morning tea to say thank you to our incredible volunteers during National Volunteers Week.
From making beds and spending quality time with residents, to driving them to medical appointments and much more, our volunteers give their time, care, and compassion every single day. We are truly grateful for everything you do. Thank you for being the heart of our community.

On Monday, May 26th, we hosted our annual Biggest Morning Tea in support of the Cancer Council, and what an incredible turnout it was!
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who brought in homemade or store-bought treats. We were absolutely blown away by the delicious spread!
We’re also so grateful to those who helped behind the scenes and to everyone who attended and generously donated. Thanks to your amazing support, we raised $606.95 for cancer research, prevention, and support services.
