This role would suit someone who enjoys working with veterinarians, farmers, and industry partners to improve reproductive and genetic outcomes in livestock herds. It’s a great mix of technical support, relationship building, sales and hands-on work in the field.

You’ll be part of a small, supportive team that’s passionate about helping clients get the best results from their breeding programs.

Monday morning repro facts!

⚠️Repro Tract Scoring/Pre Program Scanning – is it worth it?🧐

You may have heard your vet or other industry members speak about pre scanning your herd or repro tract scoring prior to an AI or ET program, but what is it all about?

🐂For cows or heifers to respond well to the synchronization protocol for AI or ET, they have to meet a few requirements:

✅ They need to be cycling or not in deep anoestrus

✅ They need to have a mature reproductive tract with functional ovaries

✅ They need to be free from illness, disease or injury that can cause reproductive problems

The aim of pre-scanning a herd is to identify any animals that may not respond to a program. This allows you to make the following management decisions:

➡️ Select which animals may be your best replacements

➡️ Choose an appropriate synch program for herds with high numbers of non-cyclers

➡️ Hold back any late maturing animals or feed appropriately

➡️ Set your expectations for success in your program

➡️ Identify and treat any illness, injury or parasite issues

➡️ Cull/sell any cattle you may no longer want in your herd

📣So, is a pre-scan worth it? We say absolutely it is! 🎉

Our National Sales Manager Megan had an early start on Monday, ducking out to Western Qld to assist with the synchronisation of these happy heifers!

✅️ Fixed time AI can be a great tool for setting up heifers heading into joining, it can help you identify your most fertile, early maturing lines sooner and it also helps you "front load" the breeding season, reducing your calving drift! It's a win win 🏆

The importance of planning ahead for your AI season can never be underestimated!

Guess who’s back…

After a busy few months in the paddock, we’re back on your feed.

Pregnancy testing season may be winding down, but bull testing is now in full swing, and before long we’ll be turning our focus to AI season.

We’re also loving seeing last year’s AI and embryo calves starting to hit the ground 🐮 — a great reminder of the value of planning ahead.
