It’s my birthday today…
And instead of celebrating with something external,
I’m doing something that feels a little more meaningful.
I’m sharing something I’ve been quietly working on.

Over the past few months, I’ve been refining the way I work -
not just what I offer, but how I actually support women in a way that feels real, grounded, and sustainable.

And what I’ve come to realise is this…
Real change doesn’t come from one conversation.

It comes from having the space to slow down, reflect, and actually see what’s going on beneath the surface and over time.

So I’ve created something called The Balanced Path.

A 4-session experience designed for women who are ready to pause, be honest about where they’re at, and start moving forward with more clarity.

Not rushed.
Not surface-level.
Just real conversations, real awareness… and space for things to shift.

Over the next few weeks, I’ll share more about how it works and what each session looks like 💜

A little reality check from your local holistic counsellor…

Some days I’m:
✨ grounded
✨ journaling
✨ practicing Qigong
✨ drinking water like a glowing wellness queen

Other days I’m:
🍷 “just one more glass”
🍝 eating whatever’s easiest
📺 6 episodes deep into a show
🤦‍♀️ walking out the door with my clothes on inside out

Both are true.
And that’s kind of the point.
This work isn’t about being perfect.
It’s about being aware… and choosing to come back to yourself when you’re ready 💜

I love this 💜 and so me!!

I love this 💜 and so me!!

They already say, “What on earth is she up to now?!” Haha

Hope this inspires you…🤣

Something I’ve learnt (and keep learning)…
Doing this work doesn’t mean you have everything together.

I don’t follow my routines perfectly.
I don’t always make the “best” choices.

There are days where I know exactly what would support me… and I still don’t do it.
But the difference is I now notice it and I don’t ignore it.

I don’t pretend it’s not happening.
And I don’t stay stuck there for long.
I come back...again and again.

That’s the work.
Not perfection.
Not getting it right all the time.
Just being aware enough to catch yourself…and willing enough to shift when you’re ready.

This is the space I hold for women too.
Not a perfect, polished version of yourself…but a real one.

One that’s learning, growing, and figuring it out as you go 💜

Life feels a little messy at the moment…

I’ve started a new role in addition to my other part-time job and running Balanced Life Women's Wellness.

Now I’m one of those gals that loves a good schedule.
When I know what my days look like, I feel clear, grounded and on point…

But right now, in the middle of training, my routine is completely out of whack.
Some days I don’t know if I’m coming or going - or even what day of the week it is…

At the same time, I’m navigating life with the kids with one starting her first casual job and the other on school holidays, bored out of her mind while I’m trying to work.

It can feel like a lot at times.

And I notice it.
I can see where I’m not showing up the way I know I can.
I can feel the disconnect from the things that usually keep me grounded.

Real life doesn’t always look balanced.
Sometimes it feels messy, stretched and a little chaotic.

But I’ll keep showing up and doing the reps -
because I know this season will pass, and it will be worth it!!

As part of navigating this season, I've blocked out May to settle into this new rhythm.

I knew stepping into a new role would take time, energy and focus… and I didn’t want an inconsistent schedule impacting my clients or the way I show up in this work.

Because this is something I truly believe -
you can’t keep pouring into others if you’re running on empty.

That, for me, is part of doing this work properly.

But as promised, I’ll still be opening up a small number of spaces again in June...so stay tuned 💜

Lately, I’ve been noticing something encouraging.

More young women are reaching out for support before they hit crisis point.

Not because everything is falling apart.
But because they can feel the pressure building.

And here’s what we don’t talk about enough…
The transition out of high school is a nervous system shock.

For years, life is externally structured:
• Bells and timetables
• Clear expectations
• Regular feedback
• Adults guiding decisions

Then suddenly, the scaffolding disappears.

You’re expected to:
• Self-manage
• Make adult decisions
• Organise your time
• Choose a career path
• Navigate new social environments
• Often work and study at the same time

That shift activates the stress response.

Not because someone is failing.
But because the brain loves predictability.

When structure drops away, the nervous system can move into:
• Overdrive (anxiety, racing thoughts, perfectionism)
• Or shutdown (procrastination, fatigue, avoidance)

What’s inspiring me lately isn’t the overwhelm - it’s the awareness.

Some young women are recognising early when they need:
A space to talk.
A place to decompress.
Tools to regulate their nervous system.
Support before exhaustion sets in.

That awareness is emotional intelligence.
And honestly? There’s something powerful in that for all of us.

Burnout rarely arrives overnight.
It builds quietly - through chronic stress without recovery.
We often wait until our bodies are shouting.

But what if we didn’t?
What if support wasn’t crisis-driven?
What if it was preventative care?
What if asking for help early was seen as strength - not weakness?

Regulation. Reflection. Rest.
These aren’t indulgences.
They are maintenance for a healthy nervous system.

Wherever you are in life - 18 or 58 - awareness is powerful.

And if you’re sensing you might need a space to decompress, reflect, or reset… that space exists.

You don’t have to do it alone 💜

Yesterday was my first day… again.

Not my first “first day” - but the one I’m hoping will be my last.

This morning, I pulled an oracle card: Hope - Belief in Fulfilment.

To know that even on a bumpy road, I can still choose joy…
and trust that good things will come when I choose to trust in myself.

This isn’t about perfection anymore.
It’s about coming home to myself.

If you’ve ever had to start again…
If you’ve ever felt like a fraud…
If you’re somewhere in the messy middle…

I see you and you’re not alone 💜

I’ve shared more of my journey in my latest blog.

🌿 A Gentle Invitation to Reconnect 🌿

There’s something really special about being invited into spaces where women can simply be… and I’m so honoured to be part of this beautiful offering.

I’ll be joining the Zen Day - Self Love Retreat as a guest facilitator, guiding a gentle Qigong session to help you reconnect with your body through slow, mindful movement ✨

This day has been thoughtfully created as a space for women to soften, explore self-love, and reconnect with themselves in a supportive and nurturing environment.

Throughout the day you’ll be invited to:
🌸 Move your body with gentle Qigong (no experience needed)
🎨 Create your own body art canvas to take home
🧘‍♀️ Relax into guided meditation and a sound journey
💬 Share stories, reflect, and connect with other women
💛 Explore self-love and your own patterns in a safe space

📍 Ballarat
🗓 Sunday 12th April 2026
⏰ 8:45am – 5:00pm
💰 $160 or $120 each when booking with a friend

This is such a beautiful opportunity to take a full day just for you… to slow down, breathe, and reconnect with what matters most.

If you feel called to join us, send me a message and I can point you in the right direction for bookings 🌿

There’s a part of this journey that isn’t spoken about enough…

The part where you’ve worked so hard to build something -
and when you finally arrive…
you realise how tired you actually are.

Lately, I’ve been feeling a little flat.
A little unsure.
And if I’m honest… a little overwhelmed.

Life doesn’t pause just because you’re building a business.

There are still errands to runs, medical appointments to attend…
long drives to Melbourne…
rising costs, new responsibilities, and the quiet pressure of holding it all together.

And somewhere along the way,
I noticed myself slipping back into old habit loops -
ways of coping that don’t really support the woman I’m becoming.

Not because I’ve failed…
but because I’m human.

The difference now is - I see it.

I recognise the signs.
And I know I’ve been here before… which means I also know I can find my way back.

So instead of pushing through or pretending everything is fine,
I’m choosing something different.

I’m choosing to be kind to myself.

To slow things down.
To take on a limited number of clients for now.
To gently come back to the practices that ground me.

Today, during a Tarot for Self-Awareness session,
I saw something reflected back to me too…

✨ The Devil - the old patterns, the loops, the things that keep us stuck.
✨ The Queen of Wands - the woman who remembers who she is, and rises anyway.

That’s what I love about this work.

You don’t have to have it all together to hold space for others.
Sometimes, we are walking alongside each other -
learning, noticing, returning.

If you’ve been feeling a little flat or stuck lately…
you’re not alone in that.

And maybe the first step isn’t to “fix” it -
but simply to notice it… with kindness. 💜

🌿 A small update from Balanced Life Women’s Wellness

As I continue to grow this work alongside my role in higher education, I’ve made the decision to keep my counselling practice intentionally small.

I work with only a limited number of women at a time so I can hold space for deeper conversations, reflection, and meaningful change.

At the moment, my client spaces are currently filled and I’m not taking new bookings.

Over the coming months I’ll still be sharing reflections, resources, and insights here around women's wellbeing, burnout, self-awareness, and navigating life transitions.

And when a new space opens, I’ll gently share that here. Thank you to the women who trust me to walk alongside them. 🌿

Saying no without guilt.

Many women struggle with this one.

We’ve been taught to be helpful, accommodating, and available - often at the expense of our own wellbeing.

But every time you say yes when your body is quietly saying no, it costs you energy.

Saying no isn’t selfish.

It’s a boundary that protects your time, your nervous system, and your emotional capacity.

A gentle reframe:

Every no is also a yes
- to your wellbeing
- to your rest
- to what truly matters.

Start small.

You don’t need to justify your boundaries.
A simple, kind “That doesn’t work for me right now” is enough. 🌿

What’s one thing you could gently decline this week to protect your energy?
