Hello beautiful people! After spending much time reflecting on what was such a difficult decision for me I have decided to take a break from teaching to focus on my self care. As much as I love our Saturday morning Power Yoga class I have decided after three years of teaching this class I want to open up my Saturday morning schedule. When the time is right I am sure I will be teaching classes again. I have grown to love and appreciate all of you and sharing yoga with you has been more rewarding for me than I can put words on. I will be around covering classes here and there and also practicing along side you so please say hello. Thank you for three amazing years Alice Springs! Stay tuned for future pop-up workshops, yoga sessions and hopefully yoga retreats and flick me your email to stay in touch. I’m also available by appointment for private and or group yoga sessions if you or you and a group of friends want to have me teach. See you on the mat! Hello beautiful people! After spending much time reflecting on what was such a difficult decision for me I have decided to take a break from teaching to focus on my self care. Good morning Alice Springs! Another great Saturday morning for yoga! Power Yoga 10:30am Lasseters Health Club!
A large part of our yoga practice (on and off the mat) is about balancing effort and ease (Sthira and Sukha). We want to be challenging ourselves and growing while maintaining a steady state of ease, joy, compassion and love. Sometimes in our Power Yoga practice on the mat the challenge is to build strength and stamina through challenging physical postures (asana). Other times in our Power Yoga practice on the mat the challenge is to not be hard on ourselves and push ourselves to the max. Sometimes it’s easy to be loving and kind and calm within and sometimes it is not. Have you ever approached your physically challenging movements with love, compassion and ease? What does that look like for you? Just like each day, hour, minute, breath is new the body, mind and heart are also new and this newness creates opportunities to also see, do and be something new. Each time we come to the mat it is a new experience. What can you do in your physical posture and your internal posture to balance effort and ease in each new moment?
