You were never too much
You just learned to become smaller
quieter
easier to love
Maybe you were told you were dramatic
too sensitive
too emotional
So you adjusted
You held things in
You overgave
You tried to be “less” so you wouldn’t be left
But that version of you…
was never who you truly were
It was who you became to feel safe
And now your body is still living in that pattern
Still trying to earn love
instead of simply being met in it
